Why after five minutes or so of becoming hot does the grill trip my power

When you say power I am guessing you mean the ground fault switch. Struggled with that myself until recently. There are a lot of posts out there of people with this problem with a variety of smokers. Try plugging into an outlet not protected by a ground fault outlet. If the smoker works that way (mine did) I would suggest you replace the electric heating element. For $30 bucks or so this fixed my smoker. Found my part on appliancefactoryparts.com. My smoke is a Masterbuilt brand. Putting the new element in was pretty easy but a bit messy. Look for a video on YouTube for your smoker.

Good luck and happy smoking.

Fryer is not getting hot and power light is not coming on. What could be the problem?

Usually the problem is related in seating the heating unit correctly in the Control Mounting Bracket. If it isn't put in properly the fryer won't even power on. When you attach the heading unit onto the fryer make sure it is in both slots. Hope this helps.

Were do you put the wood chips

On the left side there is a tube that slides out , slide it out and you will see a place to put your chips at the far end , only place enough to not quite fill it up , push the chip loader back into the smoker all the way , give it a half turn , You have now loaded your smoker box with chips , repeat as necessary
