I have tried this, open the notebook from back and remove the CMOS battery and leave it for 12 hours, then boot the system and shutdown immediately and put CMOS battery on its place, then boot the system Junaid Pakistan

Some Compaq's actually have a partition on the hard drive for the BIOS. If someone
> used FDISK to remove the partition, then you won't be able to get into the BIOS
