    Here's the code E1 info:
18 Trouble Shooting Guide Display is Flashing "E1" Possible Remedies: (Unplug stove ?rst when possible) Clean any dust off of the windings and fan blade. If oiling the blower does not help, the blower may be bad. If operating the heater on the highest heat setting, the room temperature could increase enough and lead to potential overheating situations. If this happens try oper- ating at a lower heat setting. This pellet stove is designed and tested to use wood pellets. Check for signs of fuel other than wood pellets. No other types of fuel have been approved for this pellet stove. If there are signs of other types of fuel being used, stop using them immediately. A power surge, spike, or voltage drop could cause the high limit switch to trip. Check to see if a surge protector is being used on the stove. If not, recommend one to the customer. If the other items check out OK, replace the high limit switch.

An E1 reading typically means that your PIC does not detect
cookware on its surface. This can occur for one of two
reasons.
1. Have you placed a pot or pan on the unit? The induction
coils contained within the PIC will only work when they are
in direct contact with a piece of cookware. To maintain your
appliance's effectiveness, always ensure that it rests on a flat
surface and that contact is consistent with your cookware.

Not enough heat coming from my Norseman furnace

I suspect the heat exchanger is caked with soot. The type of wood makes a very big difference in keeping them clean. The top cover is removable to access and clean it. No pallet or treated wood to keep it clean. Don't remove any screws you don't have to.

My power went out after the power came back on my air conditioner reads e1

E1 might be a stuck key on the keypad... they are sometimes flakey .. maybe water getting into the keypad ... at any rate the remote control usually still works .. eventually sometimes the key pad starts to work again (maybe when it dries out)

So, based on solutions from those other sites, I pulled off the front panel, turned it over and removed the 4 screws from the back of the control pad (not the six screws on the outer perimeter). I looked for a stuck button but did not find one. I just pushed all the buttons a few times in case one was stuck (as suggested on other sites) and that did it!

Hope helps.

I keep getting the error "E1" & the dryer turns off ...what does that mean?

I've read in other forums that E1 means the thermistor has failed. As far as I understand, it monitors the temperature of the air that is leaving the dryer and entering the dryer vent. If you're not handy, a service call is in order.

Reset air conditioner

Unplug it. Wait a few minutes. Hold in the Power button while plugging it back in and keep the button held down until a beep is heard (~5 sec). Unplug the air conditioner, then plug it in again.
Note: some units require using the Mode switch, rather than Power.

E1 means one of the buttons on the touchpad is pressed in. The remote will still operate the unit. You might have to pull the panel of, and check all the buttons. If all seems fine replace the control board. might not be worth it thou..
