The only fuse is in the power supply, if its totaly dead i would replace the power supply module. if that doesn't fix it the main board would also be bad

There should be 2 glass fuses located near the top left corner of the mom board as you face it. They can easily be removed with a single tonged fork. bend three tongs out of the way and put a small curl in the last straight one with needle nose pliers. This will prevent the inevitable breakage of the fuse using pliers and the such. Check them well against bright sun or light. Good luck, Hope I helped in some fashion.

Hello there
If you unplug the power supply and remove the power supply from the case. Now remove the screws that hold the cover on and remove the cover look on the inside and you will see a very small fuse if it is soldered in place this is hard if you dont know how to solder. If it is a fuse that can be removed good just remove it and get a new one radio shack has these or autozone ok than just replace the fuse and reinstall the cover and all screws and than reinistall the power supply back in the case and secure it. and power up the computer and see what happnes
I hope this helps
best regards mike

A power surge zapped my TV, I turned it back on, it tried to bring up the picture but shut off again. A green light keeps blinking.

if a power surge shut down the unit than a circuit, capacitor or fuse is blown and or burnt and you wont smell that most of the time and since it does have power fuse wasnt blown so a circuit -diode-capacitor is fried somewhere problem is common for an electricial damaged tv but to diagnose an electronic tech would need to tear it apart

Sharp tv has no power

Sounds like your set has been zapped by a spike on the line. Now you know why UPS units and surge diverters were invented.
A new TV sounds probable as many components could be damaged. If you are lucky it could be just a fuse but I have my doubts.
Moral, invest in a surge diverter, it would have saved you a new TV

We had a power surge the other night. My computer

If it has fan power than all is well. The newer models can handle a zip verywell. What cannot handle it is RAM.
Most new power supplies have their own switch and it often times has a power off..

Have magic chef mcd990arb. it was zapped by power surge. what could have been damaged and it is worth repair

Well if it has been Zapped then usually it is only? the Power supply side of things, the Bridge Rectifier, Controller etc, especially if it wasn't actually "heating" at the time. But also it may have fried the Computer Chip, in the "Brain" of the microwave. These days though, it often costs more to repair than replace, and anyway I always say, if you fix it you still have a fixed thing that may have further problems, as things go. If it's new at least you can take it back.
