Try reinstalling the driver for the receiver portion of the adapter. If your other usb devices work normally it is possible that the electronics of your wireless keyboard are fubar.

Maybe the driver is already built into the OS. Go into device manager and uninstall all of your usb ports. The reboot - When the computer reboots it will automatically detect them and reinstall correctly the driver. If after that exercise it still does not work, then plug into the same usb port used by the receiver say a usb stick or other usb device to see if it works. If that works then there is nada wrong with the usb port and the issue has to be with your keyboard. If it takes a battery make sure the battery is good and that the connections are nice and clean and tight. If nothing then the issue is either with the wireless transmitter in the keyboard or the receiver attached to your computer that picks up the signal. If that is the case you replace - repair is simply not cost effective.

Thanks! I tried that and it still did not work. Now I've returned it and the replacement keyboard and dongle works. Thanks all for answers.

Suddenly can't type in keyboard. Desktop computer. Brand new batteries. Must fix soon. Help!

I would take the batteries back out and put them back in. You may have put the batteries in the wrong way. Another thing you can do is to unplug the dongle that came with the keyboard and mouse. You can wait a few seconds and plug it back in. The batteries you are installing may be bad. Try installing another set of alkaline batteries. Try rebooting your computer, see if that helps. Your wireless keyboard and mouse may be going out. You can find new wireless keyboards and mice at Walmart, Best Buy, Office Depot, Etc.

My wireless keyboard has stopped working so I cannot login, I have changed the batteries but it still will not work, can you please help?

It's a silly question to ask but have you made sure the batteries are in the correct way round, and also they are new and a matched pair, and is your mouse if it's wireless operated batteries okay.

Good luck

My bluetooth connection for my wireless mouse and my wireless keyboard stopped working. What Can I do about that?

Have you checked the following:

1. Are the batteries OK (NEW)?
2. Have you restarted your computer?
3. Is the Bluetooth (in your computer - i.e., came with it) or are you using an add on bluetooth?
  • If it is an added bluetooth, have you tried, swapping the USB port that it is plugged into and then restarting your computer.
Let me know how you get on. Please rate. Regards,
