SOURCE: I have a 1971 seeburg firestar jukebox - the zero

Same key that operates the locks on the sides unlocks the top, but top might be sticky. Push down on it.
Order keys if you don't have them. It's key F291. GOOD locksmith can make it or order one off eBay.
Your jukebox is a USC2. Use that model number as a reference.
Keypad "0" contacts are probably dirty or broken, or the connectors to the keyboard or black and gray boxes might be loose or need cleaning. Circuit board might be dirty (YES! This is a common Seeburg issue). To clean it of check for broken contacts on the "0" key, you'll have to remove it and open it up. Putting it back together can be tricky. Be patient.
Worst case, you can install a replacement keyboard.

If you have someone come out, be SURE to have them give the jukebox a good lubrication. Seeburgs are complicated machines and need periodic lubrication.

Also, buy a manual. Jukebox repairmen don't usually have the manuals for your jukebox. Too many.

THESE MANUALS ARE FOR PROFESSIONAL REPAIRMEN. YOU WILL NOT UNDER STAND THE LINGO. THE PROBLEM IS ON THE TORMAT UNIT. THERE ARE 4 WIRES ON THE BOTTOM OF THAT TORMAT UNIT. (FIRST POSSIBILITY) ONE OF THE FOUR HAS COME LOOSE. THE COLOR OF THESE WIRES ARE RED==GREEN== , AND TWO BLACK. MOVE WITH A LITE TOUCH. TO SEE WHAT ONE IS BROKEN. (SECOND POSSIBILITY) THE SAME WIRES GO TO THE REVERSING SWITCH. MOVE THESE WIRES WITH A LIGHT TOUCH.

I have a LPC 480 Seeburg Jukebox that scans, pick up the record, the needle touches the record, then returns the record to the carriage without playing. What can I do?

Try reading this, basically the fault can be in the mech, the amp or trip switches.

Wailing sound when 1971 seeburg juke box is started

I amnot very familiar with Seeburgs but the trip switch activates at the end of the record playing and THAT mutes the amp. The amp should also be muted until the tone arm lands on the record. So I would suggest the problem is in the amp.

I have a 1971 seeburg firestar jukebox - the zero (0) does not seem to work when you punch in the 3 numbers for the selection - so none of my selections that have zero in it do not play - also I do not...

Mechanism will not pick up records

Hi,

Check out the tormat on your jukebox. It runs almost the full length of the mechanism. On the tormat is the A and B side contacts and a ground rail. You will see that on the mechanism is a arm that runs over these contacts on it it has very fine wire links (similar to those on motor brushes) these can become disconnected and may require being resolderd back into place.
