Boot up while pressing F2 until you hear a beep. Press F9 until you hear a beep. Press <Enter> until you hear a beep. Press <ESC> 2 times. Press <Enter> 2 times. This should reset the bios. Good Luck.

Did you leave it connected to external monitor for sometime.?
coz, external monitor does not come up until the computer gets to the login screen.
Do you see any activity on harddisk light when switched on ?
If not, the problem is with the board.

hi..try to remove unplug or plug in the Hard Drive,, if cant work you or nothing happens you need to re-place the hard drive.about files theirs nothing ways to recover the files if the Hard Drive is totally defective..Thanks..and GOOD LUCK...^_^

Sounds like either memory or hard drive issue.
First, remove and reinsert the memory modules one at a time to see if memory is the problem.
If not, your hard drive is probably faulty.
