I am a utility contractor in Portland Oregon. My trucks all have the 3000T and this is an oh so common problem. I found an electronics store here in Oregon called Frys Electronics. To repair the DC plug you will need to replace it with a new one. It is a 1.3mm dc port/jack and if soldering it you will need to have a min. of a 40 watt soldering iron and need to order a narrow long tiped replacement tip for the iron. You can find all your parts needed at frys.com or I can FWD you all the info. Oh the ground strap is reuseable and I have not been able to find a replacement and Megellan sucks at selling their parts. There is also an awsome bunch of guys that have been very helpful @ NORVAC in Tigard OR. I wish you all luck.

Unfortunately, the wiring diagrams for heat pumps are not so easy to come up with. The outdoor unit will have its own diagram, but may not include the indoor air handler and will probably not include the thermostat. That said, the orange wire is commonly run from the thermostat to the reversing valve in the outdoor unit. This wire is usually not connected to the indoor airhandler. The orange wire is usually used in a unit that has the reversing valve energized in cool. Ruud, however has its reversing valve energized in heat. Probably not useful but maybe helpful
