Divide the number that passed (80) by the total student population (131). This will yield the percent that passed (,6106), Multiply by 100 (shift the decimal point two places to the right) and the result is 61.06%. Rounding to the nearest number equals 61%.

(x/y)*100 (80/131)*100=61.06 % ~ 61%

Hope this makes sense.

### There are 80 students in statistics . You and 11 others earned the same score, what percentage of the class received your score?

You and 11 others = 12. So the answer is twelve eightieths.

12 divided by 80 x 100 will give you the answer.

You can check the answer as 10% of 80 would be 8 students. For 10 percent you just move the decimal place one number to the left 80.0 = 8.00.

### How often should kids eyes be tested?

It's really important that school age children have regular eye checks (once a year if there are no other problems with vision etc). But if your child complains that it's hard to see the board at school, you should immediately take them for an eye test. Up to 80% of learning at school takes place through using vision, so it's crucial to your child's progress.

### A school had 6,641 students in 1960 now it has 15, 532. what is the percentage increase?

134%
Divide 15532 by 6641, multiply by 100, then subtract 100. Since you didn't specify a make and model of calculator, I'm afraid I can't give you an exact keystroke sequence to calculate this.

### . A sum of Rs.1400 is to be used to give seven

• Let, the maximum amount that is to be given is "x". Then, next student will receive an amount of "x-40", the next one "x-80", the next one "x-120", the next one "x-160", the next one "x-200" and the least amount will be "x-240"...... as this amount was to be distributed among 7 students.
• So according to the given condition, the money balance gives........ x+(x-40)+(x-80)+(x-120)+(x-160)+(x-200)+(x-240) = 1400
=> 7x - 840 = 1400
=> 7x = 2240
=> x = 320

Therefore, the distribution of the money will be 320, 280, 240, 200, 160, 120 and 80.
