I need to locate the slow running jet in the carburetor of my honda accord 1992 2.0ltr engine as engine is not running when idle

It is not a jet, It is called a idle adjustment screw, The jets have to do with your fuel mixture, Buy the sounds of it, you don,t have a clue on what your talking about, So if i were you, Get some to doit for you that noe,s what in the (Hell) There doing end talking about. You don,t mess with a carb if you don,t no what your doing,

1963 vw newly rebuilt engine, starts then dies at RPM acceleration

Could be one or both of two things.

1. The accelerator pump in the carb is clogged, the linkage is unhooked, or the diaphram in the pump is bad. It's cheap to replace and comes in the carb rebuild kit. This usually just causes hesitation when you step on the gas pedal. It doesn't usually cause the engine to stop running.

2. More likely is that the main jet in the carb is clogged. At idle, high vacuum under the closed throttle plate in the carb causes fuel to flow thru the idle jet. As the throttle plate opens (as you step on the pedal), the vacuum under the plate dissipates, stopping the flow of fuel thru the idle jet, and the vacuum ABOVE the throttle plate increases, which is supposed to then draw fuel from the carb bowl thru the main jet in the carb. If the main jet is clogged with dirt, then it can idle just fine and die as soon as you step on the pedal.

I can get my trimmer started but when I try to accelerate the trimmer from idle it stops

sounds like typical carburator issues.Pull carb apart and clean jets if it idles than slow jets are good so its more than likely your high idle jet.

4000 watt buffalo tools generator: Engine Starts, but after a few minutes it cuts out and stops running. No appliances plugged in, drained gas(it did sit for 6 months), oil is full, Plug is good.

Idle speed jet or passage and/or high speed jet/passage is clogged. Remove the carb and inspect and clean thoroughly, then re-install. Set idle and high spped screws approx 1 turn and tune to run smooth from there.

Chain saw will idle, but not run at full throtle

First, check the air filter and clean it well. Then make sure the spark plug is clean and gapped properly.

Then prime, start it up, and allow it to idle, even using the trigger to make it fast idle if you can. Using a small thin screwdiver, turn the high speed idle screw on the carb in small increments to the right, kepping the speed up on the trhrottle.

The idea is to screw it out until it sputters, then screw it a half turn back in. If it doesn't smooth out when turning it to the right, try going to the left.

Afterwards you may find it doesn't run at low throttle well. If not, try the same thing starting to turn left until it smooths out. If it doesn't, screw to the right. Again, the idea is to go until it sounds rough, then back off a half turn.

You should be able to adjust it to the point where you can open the throttle all the way with smooth sure throttle increase.

Will not idle

two stoke I guees, eletronic choke if so then it is stuck, if not then if slide then slide stuck up a hair...carbs systems use Idle jet and main jet, the main jet is a taper jet with a tapper needle that adjust gas flow as the needle move up air flow across it draws more gas through the hole going to the float bowl but the idle jet is a fixed hole that has a air mixture screw nthat lets you trim the fuel air ratio for idle make sure the srew did not fall out, next a stuck float bowl can flood the idle with too much gas next the chock if half on can cause a high rich gas and cause huigh idle next a sticky throttle cable can cause high idle and just unhook throttle cable to check this the last thing is a points not electrong ignition system bike can cause high idle...air leake into the carb just like a vacum leak in a car can cause high idle...l.start with diss connecting trootle cable then check for needle jet seating then check for choke not stuck last is the float bowl level you get it study how a carb works and you nail this thats how I learned after 115 motorcycles I had seen alot of my own errors....rememeber high idle most likly is to much how is it getting to much gas is the question most likley
