SOURCE: Hi, we need an electrical
Hi if the cable has been severed, i assume you have BOTH ends? If so, then it is a simple matter to just strip back both ends of the cable and join color to color?
Alternatively, you would need a service and repair manual, I have searched but have been unable to locate one? so then the best bet is for you to contact the manufacturer, and ask for one, it may cost a few dollars but they are worth their weight in gold when servicing.

What do you mean "it won't weld" ? Does the wire come out when you press the trigger? If so and there's no spark when you ground it then check the heavy relay that operates the heavy juice. Tell us what you have done and tried so far.
