Parts and Diagrams for Husqvarna 2042 LS 96043006200 2008 11 This link will provide diagrams of the drive belt and associated parts. The diagram shows the idler pulleys and tension springs. Inspect your mower to compare all drive parts to the diagram. Hope this helps....
Not too sure which guide you are refering too, the only keeper at the clutch is the anti rotation bracket for the clutch itself, it bolts to the side of the chassis and the other end sits into a cut a way in the side of the clutch assembly.
Hi, it sounds like the hydrostatic drive is getting too hot. Remove the battery and battery cradle and clean all grass and debris from around the hydrostatic drive and cooling fins. Also check the fan wheel on the hydro is not damaged. Regards Phil.
If it really 'lugs', meaning the engine gradually chugs slower and slower as if it's struggling, then it could be a belt problem, but I'm going to guess it just quits, which suggests a problem with the seat safety switch. Look under the seat, take out the safety switch, and tape it in the pushed-in position. See if the tractor runs now. If so, the switch is the culprit - either it failed, or the mounting is wonky so it doesn't activate when you're in the seat.
