My camera just shows a black screen, the settings button is greyed out

Sorry Katherine... it took me a second to wrap my old head around why you were in REFRIGERATORS... (I moved you)

"frozen"

Okay...
notwithstanding MAKE, MODEL... and the issue(s) that took you into the current situation... to me a greyed out button merely means

you are not in the MODE you think you are...
Typically hitting the "menu" can take you back to a KNOWN state.

Else: If you know a reset procedure... do it...

Else: remove all batteries... 5 minutes later ... start over.

(failing that... you are looking for a good repair shop (sorry)).

Good luck!

In my ibm access my wireless networking is greyed out

When the icon is greyed out ... it usually mean it is NOT available / active (usable). In your case, it's likely your Notebook is not connected to the wireless. Try to "Connect" to the wireless first . If the wireless network is "protected", it may require a password before allowing you to access it.

Samsung tv - archos 605 s-video greyed out on tv

This sounds like you have the cable at the Archos end plugged in the normal video output - you need to plug the round end of the cable into the round socket on the DVR

Screen option greyed out on 42lc7d

Is it this way no matter what input you are on? Try switching to each input and then going into the menu to see if it is still greyed out each time? If it stays greyed out, then you have a bad main board.
