The reason it does that is the signal level from the antenna is borderline usable. Either re-aim your antenna or get an amplifier for it.

SOURCE: While trying to change channels, my t.v. displayed

Turn the television on and as soon as the screen turns on repeatily press the input button or change the input to whatever input you are using from a source device. As long as you change it to anything other than RGB.

Your television is essentially a big computer monitor with multiple inputs and a tuner. When using your computer and shutting it down the monitor will go in a power save mode. You don't need to shut off your monitor due to this power saving mode. When you power up your computer your monitor automatically turn on.

With the VIZIO and the RGB (computer) input the television will act just like a computer monitor. When you have a computer connected it will power down automatically when you shut off your computer. When you turn your computer on the VIZIO will automatically come out of standby mode. This is through RGB only.

This is normal operation for the VIZIO but can see confusing when nothing is connected to the RGB input. If you change your television input to RGB it will sense no signal on the input and will go into standby mode after about 5 - 10 seconds. If you were to send a signal to the television through RGB it would automatically kick on.

SOunds shut "off" when changing from HD channel to non-HD channel.

I think you need to look at the sound settings. In particular the type of sound. HD channels often carry AAC sound, suitable for Dolby 5.1 and Standard Channels don't. So the sound system will switch modes when you change channels. However the receiver is not switching back to picking up PCM signals, the type used on SD channels.

How do I get to the service menu ? Sanyo Model DP42410

Press the volume + and channel - buttons at the same time for about 5 seconds. It must make it into service mode. But, what are you intended to do after entering this mode? There will be a special screen display, that will not resemble to normal user menu. Any data value set here should be changed very carefully. Improper data setting to this mode, might even make TV iresponsive to any external signals, means, the TV has gone for ever. If you do not know anything about this mode, and adjustments, never enter into it. Let it do by any experienced service technician. For more procedure to get into service mode and to make adjustments, check this link, if you wish.

I need to program my Sanyo remote to all available channels. What is the code for a Sanyo GXBD remote?

I think this may be what you need I will tell you and we can see. Its true most remotes have codes but their are so many of them it would be hard to say. But as a fail safe the remote is programmed with a self coder. turn your T V off stand away from it a couple of feet and aim your remote at it, then start pushing the power button slowly at about 2 second intervals just keep pushing sometimes you may have to depress the power button as many as 50 times but the T V should turn on when it does use your remote and go to menu channel select and scan it should log the channels in automatically in about 3 minutes
