No you can't and no it won't. Your laptop is shorted out.

Google

make model changing motherboard battery

and you will see what is involved. Drying something won't repair damaged Integrated circuits.

Spilled water on a laptop computer.

Water and electronics do not mix, let it dry out for a week and maybe it will work again, leave it alone for that time, as each time you fire up the computer with water in it you can do more damage.

Not good to do... ANY liquid splilt onto a computer can cause severe damage to it. If this happens, unplug the computer, remove the battery inspect the components extensively, making sure to dry everything off and let it air out before you try to power it up again. liquid can collect in places you can not see , so you MUST be vigilant about drying it out.

Wet laptop

Water = No more warranty. You or a friend can open up this laptop (be careful and take note of all screws and parts) Remove logicboard (aka motherboard) and take a tooth brush and rubbing alcohol mixed with water and scrub that logicboard down - remove any corrosion, then let dry for a day (water between chips & board dry slowly). We've fixed submerged Apple laptops this way, and one all corrosion removed, laptop will have a 90% chance of working again. You really can't kill an Apple with water - you only really put it into a coma. The faster you can get electricity (battery or power adapter) removed after water incident, the less corrosion you will likely have to clean up after drying. Apple laptops generally have short safety's on the logicboard to keep the board from burning up if it senses a short and they won't power up until the short is removed.
You can fix it!

Water spill on laptop

Shut it down, unplug the battery. The water is shorting out some of the circuits and leaving it on may cause more damage. Put it in a dry environment for a couple of days, you can also try a hair dryer (be careful not to get it too hot) to speed the drying process but the water is inside so it will be hard dry. A small room with a dehumidifier going would be great. With time it will evaporate and if you are lucky none of the components will be damaged.

Laptop starting issue

Did you spill the water while you were using it or turn it on shortly after the spill? If so, you fried something. It's electronic, it doesn't mix with liquid at all, you're lucky you don't have a nice expensive door stop, use a bottle with a screw on cap if you absolutely have to have a drink while working with your laptop. Also it takes days, if not a week, for a laptop to completely dry out inside, a dryer isn't going to do much good unless you take it apart. Either deal with the issues or take it to a shop and have it diagnosed. It's going to be a hardware issue consisting of the motherboard.
