SOURCE: Tips to operate without remote

You might try hitting the MENU button on the tv itself to see if you are able to select input / source that way. Some TVs also have the Aux Inputs selected by scrolling through the channels until you come to the aux inputs.

SOURCE: not getting all the channels provided by the operator in old bpl tv

Hi,
BPL quatra focus have a tunner which doesnt support S band and Hyper band. If you have to get allmost all channels then you have to upgrade the tuner. Tuner is component inside the TV to wich we attach the antenna or cable. There is no other option other than replacing the tuner. Replace a tuner with S band and Hyper band capability. If you need any more assistance feel free to contact by fixya. Tuner will look like one in the picture wich you will find inside the tv.

SOURCE: Finding the AV Channel on a TV

There may not be one on your TV. If your TV has audio and video input jacks then keep changing channels going from high channels to lower ones. When you get to Channel 2 then the next one down should be AV. If your TV doesn't have the A/V input jacks, then you'll need a modulator. This will take the audio and video outputs of the DVD player and put them on TV channel 3 or 4 and insert it into the antenna connection of the tv.

Which external tv tuner will work for SONY kv-xf21m80 model

To by pass the tuner use a cable, satellite or other box that has its own tuner--use the audio/video outputs the box must have and connect to a similar INPUT on the TV---leave set on that input and change channels with the box used.

TV does't register the Nintendo

Probably so, if the video cables match up color wise then you should be ok there. Try changing the INPUT / SOURCE on the TV. Look for a button on the remote that says that and try different modes and inputs there. If you can't find that button try going to channel 2 on the TV and then going DOWN in channels with the the channel + - button.

Every TV is different in that regard.

Hope this helps

Can't find button on tv to change source in order to play dvd

I'm assuming that you do not have access to the remote for the TV. If you do, you can simply press "INPUT" on the remote.

If you have no remote, try this:
Press the "MENU" button on the TV.
Press "CH Down" until "Channel" is highlighted, and "MENU" to select it.
Press "CH Down" to highlight "List and Labels", and "MENU" to select it.
Press "CH Down" to go below channel 1, you should see "FRNT" displayed.
Press "MENU" to get out of the Menu system.
You should now be seeing whatever is plugged into your front connectors.

Simply pressing one of the channel buttons will switch back to normal TV mode. I could find no faster way to access the front connectors without using the remote.

Universal remote works for basics but won't change input

Rich,

good day , what button can you see infront of your TV screen?

Not familiar with this model but if you'll manage to locate a button marked as "TV/AV" or "AV" press this button until it the display switch to A/V mode (audio/video). Or if this is a really old model, from Tuner mode or channel model. set the channel station to 1 then press the " - channel " button and see if it will change from tuner mode to A/V mode

cheers,

SWITCHING FROM TV MODE TO VIDEO MODE

Hi, If the AV button is not in your remote, then perhaps it is part of the Ch up/down buttons - meaning right after your last programmed Channel would be AV before the first program Channel. Although I have yet to come across such a case, I have worked on units/remotes that have this feature of the AV included in the channel memory. Good luck and kind regards.
