My vent comes up fine and fan works well, but goes down slowly to a certain spot then falls down. I am thinking to bring it up and leave it there until it completely "konks" out.

Timer on what ? make, model and age of unit might be useful in forming a coherent response.

if you meant a fantastic fan, then contact manufacturer for a replacement one. it is a defective gear.

Toro porta heater only stays lit for 5 or 10 minutes then the heat goes out but the fan stays running. Re-light it and it does the same thing.

The fan will continue to run after the flame goes out to prevent the element from overheating from residual heat. It should stop after a minute or two, when the element is cooled down.

It could be a venting problem. Make sure the vents are clean. When it's not lit, air gets into it. When you light it, it slowly uses what air it has and it starves for oxygen.

It could be a misadjusted thermostat and it's turning off before you think it should. Try setting it higher and see if it runs a bit longer. My thermostat on my house furnace runs 10 degrees higher than it should, so I just keep it 10 degrees lower than it says.

Traveling down the highway my dash guages quit working occasionally, when i hit a bump my cruise goes off and engine overheated going up my lane slowly. Fans didnt come on. Is there any correlation

It sounds like there is either a loose connector on the fuse bank or an intermittent ground connection. I can't say for certain if the gauges cutting out and the fans failing to come on are related problems.

I have a 1998 dodge 3500 van. When you turn the air conditioning on it won't let the air come through the vents like it is blocked. It works fine when you have it on fan and defrost

there is vacuum lines that operates door panels in the dash to switch from a/c to defrost i think something came loose or you had something fall throgh vents to stop the door from operating correctly.you need to take the glove box panel out and watch the lever as you switch from defrost to a/c.

My Coleman direct vent forced air furnace 7995-656/D will fire up but the auto fan does not come on. I can cheat this by cutting the fan to on after the burner heats up. Whats my problem?

two things the pressure switch not working or the fan control afc not working could need cleaning at the back of the afc try this the afc works on temp rise to bring on the fan afc temp fall to shut of fan so it sound like the afc is not coming on at temp rise, also check if air filter is clean

The fan has auto ond on selections, the heat looks to be running fine but the fan will NOT shut off.

The thermostat needs to be set for AUTO. If you have it on auto and the fan still goes even though the heater is off then you probably have a stuck fan limit. The limit has a long probe which goes n the plenum. As the heat builds in the plenum at the start-up of a warming operation the bi-metal inside that probe slowly twists around till the temp inside is 110 degrees, the fan comes on and we have warm air in the vents. Then when we have a cozy house the heat shuts down. The fan keeps a going till the heater cools down and the bi-meta twists back around and shuts down the fan. So what goes wrong? The bi-metal simply gets hung up in that position. Tapping on the dial will sometimes release it but it will keep occurring and become aggravating. themobilian_306.jpg
These limits come in various sizes and brands but this is the most common one. If your machine is a newer model then that control board has a fried or stuck relay on it.

1998 Buick LeSabre Custom I will turn on the A/C and air will only blow out the defrost vents sometimes it will change over to the proper vents. At times I use to switch it over to heater and back to A/C...

Hi! It may not be a vaccum problem. I think that the hoses that goes thru the main vent is the problem. They may have fall thats why theres no air coming out of the main vents only on the defrosters. Check the hoses and connect them to the main vents and it will resolve this. HOpe this helps and have a good one!

95 Honda Passport Heater/AC Fan stopped blowing

Fan motors are vulnerable to junk falling into vents, fluff and debris being sucked in with air, as well as mice dragging nesting material in and setting up house inside squirrel cage. THis happens alot. Also, fans usually have a clip of some sort that has been added at one spot around the edge to balance the wheel during rotation. If this clip falls off, or an object causes a crack, or debris falls into the fan housing, the resulting imbalance will make noise! Fans are also easy to remove and check for trash or damage. Remove the fan motor and inspect for these or any other faults. COuld be a worn shaft bearing that's causing the vibration or rumble. Should be able to lay fan in floorboard, plug in and turn on. Hold the edge of the fan to stabilize it, and observe its operation out of the housing if no defects are found visually. Hope this helps you. TT

My amplifier is plugged but doesn`t bring a sound why?

If your are certain that you have a signal going to the imputs of your amp and you are certain that the speakers are OK and you have not turned the gain control all the way down then that just leaves a fried amp. Good luck.
