I would do a factory reset. Search Google for: factory reset PSR 2100.
It will be holding certain buttons or keys down when powering on.

I assume by "checking the connection" that you ALSO checked that the adapter is generating the CORRECT voltage? If not, that is the first thing to check. They fail often...
Assuming the adapter is working, I would suspect that the input power connector has broken or the solder is bad or the board may have a crack in that area. In which case, removing the cover to check will be required. Care must be taken with cables when doing so.
Power problems are some of the easiest to find.
