I lately bought a new computer with vista and i wanted to install my old ibm pc camera... the installation went smoothly, but when i wanted to open the camera i got a message: "Your pc camera is not plug in..." - but i'm sure it was... could you find me drives for vista???
-   The link above, that is listed as "Best solution" leads to nothing useful. It goes to IBM, but there is no such item to be found on IBM's site.
FYI, I have this same problem. Will eventually have to get an updated camera, but Microsoft and IBM should not "force" users to have to buy new hardware just because a new o/s comes out - and that's what it is feeling like. I know my old web cam is slow and also is low resolution, but on 98 & XP, it worked, and that's all that matters. -   tnjman

To all using Vista. I heard through postings Microsoft posted a fix for Vista not seeing USB devices. Not 100% sure of this but it wouldn't hurt for you Vista folks to try windows update. Got nut'n to loose!
Oh, IBM stopped making these cam's. If you find 1 your support is limited to none. Best to find a Vista compatable cam.
Microsoft..... there goes the neighbor hood!

I Apologize For Saying Your Solution Did Not Work.
i.e.
Hello,
The speaker you got is USB powered. Upon connecting it to your Mac, it should undergo the Auto Detection process. When you connected it, do you see any signs of power on the speaker? If yes, it is getting power. After connecting the USB cable, connect the headphone jack to the audio jack on your Mac.
Please see diagram below. If you have any clarifications, please comment back. Thank you, lyzmorato
To Which I Responded;
When I Connect As Shown In You Diagram (By The Way,Nice Diagram), How'd You Do That ?
The USB Port Is Connected To The USB Input Port Of My Mac.
The Speaker Connection When Connected To The Headphone Jack On My Mac, It Registers As Under Name "Headphones" Under Type It Says "Built-in Output".
When I Switch Jacks On My Mac To The Other Open Jack [Speaker Output], It Says Under Name "Internal Speakers", & Under Type It Says "Built-in Output".

I Did NOT Accept Your Fix, & Again I Apologize For That.
I Can Consider This Matter Closed
Hope This Gets Posted On "FixYa"
I intalled my old ibm pc camera on my new windows vista computer. I followed the steps.I then restarted it the computer and it told me that it is not connected.
