SOURCE: How to repair globe overlocker M23A-5 foot control

If there are broken parts inside the foot control the entire control probably should be replaced.

Testimonial: "This was not the solution I was looking for as it is unlikely that a replacement foot control is available at a reasonable cost. Also the parts required should only be a few dollar."

Toyota overlocker sl3000 ; 3rd thread keeps snapping. How do I stop this ?

Third thread--is that the upper looper? Remove all the threads from the machine. Clip them below the thread tree, RAISE the presser foot, and then pull all 4 threads down through the needle. (Never Pull Up!!)

ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot.
Rethread beginning with the Upper Looper, then Lower Looper, then the needles. Be sure to ALWAYS thread in this order!! (On most newer machines, when threading the Lower Looper, always finish with the Lower Looper "draped" over the top of the Upper Looper.)

If a thread breaks, remove the threads and start over from the beginning as trying to fish a thread through the existing threads very SELDOM works.

Verify each thread path is correct.

When threading each thread and to insure the threads are seated in the tensioners, give each thread an extra little tug when going through the tension disk.

Be sure to oil your machine frequently to keep it operating smoothly!

I have a Bernina 1100D overlocker. The problem is that my foot is not on the peddle but the machine keeps working very slowly while humming. What is the problem pkease?

Take it for service. It could be a simple problem but it probably isn't good for the motor to be activated constantly. Also, it could be a possible fire hazard.

I need a diagram to thread my Finess overlocker

Unable to locate info re Finess machine...

ALWAYS raise the presser foot while threading the serger. This releases the tension disks. In addition, be sure to give each thread an extra little tug to make sure it is seated in the tension disk.

This may help:

Light is on but won't sew

Sounds like either the foot control or the motor has failed. The foot control is the easiest to replace, you should be buy a replacement control for about 30.00.
