Why is my Fender Blues Deluxe Amp making a crackling sound without an instrument even plugged into it and when I do plug in, it quiets when I touch any place on the guitar?

You probably need a new input jack on the amplifier. When they get loose the connecting wires can crackle, but plugging a guitar in stabilizes them (no more crackle).

Yes! if the plugin is not secure the connection will be poor causing unstable reception in the audio department.

30 year old Philips A12000 amplifier. Making fairly loud crackling sound from right channel.

Likely anelectrolytic coupling capacitor is going bad. Could cause further damage... repair before further use. A competent tech using an oscilloscope should be able to repair the unit, even without a schematic.

My HP w22 Monitor started to make a crackling sound and than all the sudden turned off, or something. It wont come back on. The computer works just not the monitor. Any ideas on how to fix the problem?

Try checking your Cable connections to the Monitor to the Computer and from the Monitor to the wall outlet. The crackling sound maybe normal. Most Monitors make that sound.

I've got a Philips Faxjet 375 which displays NO LOOP CURRENT when I try to fax anything Any advice?

No dial-tone detected. Plug a regular phone into the wall jack and verify dial-tone.

Make sure you are plugged into the LINE port of the fax machine.

Philips 170B lcd monitor

Crackling sounds are probably due to a couple of capacitors failing due to age, on the control board. (They can also "whine"). Should be easily replaceable by any experienced technician. Not a difficult job.
