I am need of new tires. The rims are Mavic, but I’m confused about sizing. The tire is a tubular. I think the size is 27 inch. How to I make sure I get the right size?

If you have a tubular tire (also called a sew-up), and you know that you have full-size wheels (either 700c or 27 inch), you need a 700c tubular. Tubular tires only come in a few sizes and the most common is the 700c. A tubular tire is a unique type of tire that usually has a tube sewn inside. This gives the tubular a round cross section and means that it must be glued onto the rim.

700c and 27 inch are actually different sizes (27 inch is slightly larger diameter than 700c), but they're often confused because they're so close and they're both found on road bikes - or have been over the years. These days, the common road-bike wheel and tire size is 700c. But, people still sometimes mistakenly refer to it as 27 inch, which was popular 25 to 30 years ago.

So, the bottom line is, if you get a tubular called a "27 inch" or "700c," it will be the same size and it will fit your wheel just fine. The size that you don't want is "650c." That size will be too small for your wheels. If you have something besides a tubular tire (if your tires aren't glued onto the rims, you don't have tubulars), to determine the size simply look carefully at the sidewalls. You'll find the tire size marked there if you look closely.

When I bought this item it stated that you could fix sockets onto the end of Impact Driver. I am unable to see how they fit onto the end of Driver. Is there an attachment made for this purpose? Thank You...

You have to distinguish between Driver and Wrench. Driver has 1/4'' hex hole where you can insert standard bits. Wrench has a 1/2 or 3/8 Square drive and you can put sockets directly on it. Wrenches have usually higher torque compared to drivers. DC827 is driver, you might want to change it for DC822, or you can use adaptor from 1/4 to 3/8 or 1/2 Juraj

The leak is coming from under the passenger side door and the pipes caring the coolant to the rear heater is rusted. Can this be replaced easily or closed off so that there is only heat in the front?

On my 1994 Grand Caravan:
I cut (sawed) the rusted pipes at the point of where the rust stopped (plus 1-inch. Take that cut portion of the pipe to any auto parts store and get BULK Rubber Heater Hose. Remember to add on a few inches (2) for each end to fit onto the pipe (on the Van) at each end. Use the pipe you brought to get the correct size (diameter), fitting the pipe snuggly into the rubber hose. Buy 2-adjustable band clamps for the hose, one for each end. Make sure you get the correct size diameter clamps.
Hint: When putting the rubber hose you bought onto the metal pipes on the Van : to slide the hose onto the pipe easier use grease on the outside of the metal pipe and on the inside of the rubber hose you bought (about 2-inches).
Clamp them down at least 1-inch from the end of the cut.
Replacing the metal pipes is more expensive and more labor. I did mine for about $5.00 and was done in 15-minutes, The Rubber Hoses will not rust on you.
Let me know if that helped or if you have addtional problems or questions, feel free to contact me at

New motor has been installed but when wipers are shut off they "jump" up onto the windshield about 2 inches for passenger side and about 1 inch on driver's side.

The wipers, in the off position, need to be removed, and reseated onto their "park" position. try this and report back

Load new line onto the mighty vt26 17" curved trimmer

If it is a duel line trimmer then:

Cut two separate pieces of string, about 7 ft. each.

Stick the end of the line in the hole on the inside of spool.

Wind clockwise onto spool, putting the line that is closest to the ground on first.

Once you have winded this piece on, lock the last 4 inches of line through the slits on spool.

Repeat process for second piece of line, locking the last 4 inches in slot opposite the other locked in piece.

Put the spool on the trimmer, feeding the end of lines through either hole on trimmer.

Before you push the spool all the way on, pull the strings out of the locked position.

If it is a single line trimmer, just wind a single piece of string clockwise onto spool.

I have a mitsubishi 52 inch t.v. all the sudden it has just a 8X8 inch picture in the top left corner

It sounds like a PIP malfunction. If its an older Mits it may be prone to fluid leak. This is where the cooling fluid from the CRT leaks onto the circuit boards inside and causes problems. Sometimes it will leak onto the signal board, near the PIP module and cause simmilar problems. Unplug and remove the back. Don't touch the fluid its highly toxic. Use a bright light to look for it. A service center may be able to repair if minor.
