Open the camera back.
Put the cassette in the film chamber.
Pull out the end of the film leader, and take it over to the take-up spool.
Thread it onto the take-up spool as per the instructions in the manual.
Close the camera back.
Wind on until the counter shows '1'
Take your photos.

Camera will not accept film. I added a new roll of film and it says there isn't any film in the camera. It worked fine the last time I used it..

I am guessing that you just do not have enough lead in the sprocket to catch the film. Try reeling out a half in more film and reloading. If that does not fit the excess film just trim it a bit and try over.

I just put in a new roll of film and I took 3 pictures and then the screen at the top said "ERR" and the film retracted itself....what happened?!

Hi, On Minolta's ERR means that the film hasn't been loaded in the camera properly so you'll want to reload the film.

sounds like the film advance motor died needs repairing at a qualified shop if you think the camera is worthy, since its old how much is it worth to you vs a new one

When i turn on my fuji polaroid cam, there is an "E" error message. I can't take any polaroid pictures with it altho the polaroid cam is loaded with film. Please help. Thanks

First, remove the remaining films from the camera. (while your camera is switched off) Second, press on both the shutter button and the power button at the same time. (to reset) Third, reload a new set of polaroid films into the camera.
Hope it helps!

'Err' & 'E"

Is the film loaded correctly? Have you tried reloading it? Also is it flashing DX too? That would mean the film speed is not DX coded so you need to set the film speed manually.

Dear Spotomatic
Most film processing stores will take the film into a darkroom and get it out that way, also most camera supply stores sell light tight bags that you could take the film out of the camera without exposing the fim to light. Make sure you do not open the camera back even in a dark room.

Sincerely,
Agent Allan
