How do you put in a place you don't know the address

TO receive directions you have to first know where you are going. How about point of interest(POI). Also, try an intersection.

Finding businesses with no address

If the type of business (restaurant, ATM machines, Gas station, etc) you are looking for is part of the so called Points of Interest you should be able to have them displayed on the map. You can also have them displayed near the point of departure or near the the destination point.

Yes you can launch a search for a point of interest, say a pharmacy (drugstore) near the destination point. All pharmacies in the vicinity are listed and you can scroll and select.

You can load you unit with different kinds of POI. Connect your TOMTOM to the computer and let the HOME application show you all you can do with the GPS

Map fro Garmin

As far as I know you can only buy maps from Garmin, or a Garmin retailer.  The 660 should have all the maps for North America already loaded in it.

You can purchase Points of Interest (POI) databases from a variety of sources.  Just google POI.  These are not maps but they are adresses for points of interest such as restaurants, special services, and even speed trap cameras.
