Ryobi BP42 leaf blower will start but will not rev up when I push the trigger - how can I fix this?

Its a lean condition, not getting enough fuel. Check fuel filter and fuel lines. be sure you have fresh fuel. and the carb needs to be adjusted or rebuilt.

The diaphragm in the Carburetor is probably bad. If you are mechanical it is not that hard of a fix. Of course this is assuming that you have cleaned out all the old gas and replaced it with 100% real gas. NO ETHANOL. I also keep gas treatment in all of my tanks and spare gas cans. Varnish from old gas makes small engines like snow blowers that are only used seasonally a Bi*** to start and keep running.

Order or go out to your lawn center and buy a new diaphragm, I bet it fixes it.

Leafblower... getting fuel, but when I try to start its not getting spark... pulled plug and held it while I pulled the started... nothing... what would be the next step to get it to fire??

remove the flywheel and check the pickup coil and flywheel faces for rust on them as this can kill the pickup signal that you need to make a spark,if rusty, sand them lightly and blow out with air

Brand new leafblower first use and it stalled after 5 minutes. tried to re-start and the pull string will not move?

hopefully unless it is a 4 cycle? you mixed 2 cycle oil and fuel together as one and put it in the fuel tank? you can use a 40:1 mixture 3.2 oz of 2 cycle oil to 1 gallon of fuel 87 octane will work or 89 octane is better.
if its a 4 cycle (10w-30 for oil) and fuel go in a seperate area?check your manual to verify what they would like you to use
