Question about Vanguard Heating & Cooling
Propane wall heater. We have a Vanguard model VP22001TB. 22,000 max btu. Probably installed around 1995.This propane wall unvented heater is installed in our home. It has begun to give off an odor more like automobile exhaust in the home and the flame on the 1st panel is overshooting up over the ceramic panel and burning onto the metal piece above causing black residue coming out of the upper vents. When we put it on the 2nd or 3rd panel it doesn't do that on those panels, just on the first panel. Is it possible the first panel needs to be replaced? We've been using this heater as our main heating source for 10 years. Most of the time we just have it set on panel 1.We have a heat pump, but prefer this heater. We turned it completely off for now. Would like some answers soon. Thank you.
