It won't work without the satellites connected.

Is it possible to disconnect this subwoofer from the rest of its system and use as a stand alone connected to a new amp/av receiver?

This should actually be pretty easy: whatever signal you are feeding to your new amp needs to go to the old amp through its aux line-level input (a "Y" cable would be fine). The old amp has the filter built-in to send only the low frequencies to the sub. Let me know if it doesn't work via the link.

I have a panasonic SB-WA920 but my receiver is broken, is there any other way to still use the sub and speakers?

Yeah, there is, buy a new head unit, or get your old one fixed! Speakers only work when powered by an amp or radio with speaker hookup connections. Speakers can not work alone.

Can i buy a 3d blue ray samsung dvd player and plug my HT-TZ315 unit speakers to it?

No. A stand-alone 3d player will not have an amp in it to power the speakers. You would be better off purchasing a new 3d surround system.

Does the Tannoy arena TS500 power the arena lite satellite and centre speakers or do i need another amplifier to power the satellite speakers.

The TS500 is a stand-alone powered subwoofer. Other speakers are independent of it.

Th 'Lite' is a system but only the sub is self-powered. The rest are passive.

HI i have Panasonic SB-WA330 sub woofer & speakers(no main unite) can i use this sub woofer & speakers with any other DVD player.thanx.

Not unless it's a similar Panasonic main unite. There's that pesky special connector "A" (so common on all-in-one products) to deal with.

The picture here http://www.forodvd.com/tema/97518-duda-usar-nuevo-ampli-con-altavoces-antiguos/ shows it requiring an SA-HT810 or SA-ST1 source.

Even beyond that speed bump, most stand-alone DVD players have no facilities for on-the-fly adjustment of volume. That is one reason why they make main units.

Where to purchase a bracket

Unfortunately there are two standards for the pole diameters. Some of the smaller poles have caps to accomodate the larger brackets. First thing is to measure what you have for poles and the two sizes of mounting holes. Many of the mounting bosses are standard and available online here is an example:

Just want to use the subwoofer with my computer.

i have dont this, in order to do this you need a screwdriver and some wir cutters. fist unplug the subwoofer, the the right speaker with the knob has the controll unit inside of it so we need to open the right speaker, unplug the speaker fom the chip. (ONLY IF YOUR SURE YOU WANT THIS AS A STAND ALONE SUB) then you need to cut the solid black cord that lead to the other speaker. you can also cut the leads that went to the right speaker. undo the hot glue on the inside back of the speaker and gently pull out the funky master cord. you need to unplugh the chip that has the volume controll on it. once the cord is out you can reconnect teh chip to the master cord. i suggest mounting this chip to the top of your subwoofer. you can do this using a lot of hot glue or sticky tack. anthign that does not onduct electricty thats is tacky and wont daage that chipo you can use. and further question contact me at rdrteck@gmail.com

Pb12 makes thumping sound after warming up

Hello there..Thats normal only if your sub volume and the pre amp is turned up..Your amp is the cause of the speaker jump..Turn amp volume sub level down a few and check your wire from sub to amp..If all of that is good is a normal operation for pre amp warm up in sub if level is turn to max..Try unplugging amp freom sub then turn sub on stand alone(just sub outlet plugged in and no wires from base amp plugged in..If sub stops the its the amp making the problem..If it still is there then the pre amp is either dusty on inside or the outlet plug that it is plugged in doesnt have a good ground..Hope these help to solve your problem..Have a great day...

Fried electronics in KLH ASW10-120B subwoofer

It is a 4 ohm nominal impedance woofer. If you put a new woofer in, it will last maybe half an hour and then fry/melt. The problem is the amp, not the woofer. Throw the amp out and use the box as a passive sub. Get a 100 hz sub crossover.

No sound through TV

In case you connect the System to a TV set using the Scart Connector, only the video signal is terminated, Audio is actually not wired inside the SB100 Scart connector.
Sound will only be amplified through the system itself (through the satelites and Sub) it can not be utilized as a stand-alone DVD player.
So after connecting your surround speakers the problem will be solved
