Need help with se error - Microwave Ovens

The SE error indicates a short was detected at the key pad. This could be a problem with the wiring (dirt at a connection) or a bad circuit board. If your microwave is under warranty, contact Samsung.

Since microwaves have high voltage, you may not want to try to fix this yourself. If you do, make sure to be careful. Some have fixed the error after unplugging the microwave. Then disassemble the microwave keypad area. Disconnect the various wires and clean all of the contacts. (Do one wire harness at a time so that you replace them in the right place.) Reassemble and plug in the microwave. Test if the SE error returns. If the error remains, then the control board needs to be replaced. I understand that your Frigidaire microwave is displaying the error code "SE" or "5E". I have researched and the error code seems to be "SE" which means keypad is stuck. In order to remove the error code the keypad would need to be replaced.

Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I would highly recommend reaching out to an expert technician to ensure the appropriate replacement part is ordered and is installed correctly to prevent future issues. I hope this helps to some degree. -Matt

Not really a DIY job. Microwaves can retain up to 2200V even when unplugged.
control panel frame assembly ("control") , which comes with a new keypad already installed lists for $59.99 fyi.

"SE" error means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

You would need to have either the membrane keypad itself replaced, or the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad, or the whole controller.

Part numbers and prices will of course depend on the model number.
