No reset switch but some have a resettable thermostat on the gas burner tube. you can get at by taking off the plastic side vent cover on the right side shine a flashlight in there and you can see a thermostat with a button on it . its tight but can be done also you may see it better from the left side vent cover

LG DLG5988S will not light, Drum turns but no heat. I would believe it is the igniter. How do I get the igniter to replace it?

Check the high limit switch located on the side of the chamber tube. It will have a little reset button on it. If you push it and it clicks, replace the limit switch because it will trip again.

The heating element is located there. Have you got a clear vent to outside? Using the rigid metal pipe?

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

While I don't have a video or diagram I can tell you on the LG dryers there is indeed a "reset" for the heating/burner funnel (as you obviously know) on the right hand side of the funnel, however they also incorporate a no reset "hi-limit thermostat" on the left side of the funnel. Once it is tripped it must be replaced. This is only present on the gas dryers.

It is located on the left side as I mentioned, but the other is on the right side of the heater housing/burner funnel and will resemble the images shown below. It is part number 6931EL3004B ( the reset type is part # 6931EL3003C ) and available at "searspartsdirect" (which also has a illustration which may help you) or "repairclinic.com" to name a couple.

i.e. NON-RESET

i.e. RESETTABLE

macmarkus_374.jpg
With the aid of an ohm meter you can check the non-reset for continuity, the other you should be able to push the center reset button ( listen closely for a "click" ) but it too can be ohmed out for continuity to confirm or dismiss it's condition.

Hope that help`s move you forward. If so please take a second and rate the guidance and a testimony to the assistance you received here at FixYa, either or all is appreciated.

Let me know if you can provide any further info and I'll continue to help in any manner I can. Good luck

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

LG TD C70045E dryer not heating up, this has happened before and the guy just pressed a switch but cant remember where it located, please help!

On the LG TD-C70045E the reset button for the heater is located inside the back air-way cover. This is easy enough to remove and the button is obvious once the cover is off. The button will 'click' satisfyingly if it has tripped. Don't forget to switch off and unlug first...

LG DLE2532W NO HEAT

Sounds like the heater element is bad that is the main cause for them not to heat up . Their should be a cover on the back that comes off and you can get to the heater element after removing it .
