SOURCE: what lens do i insert into scope to view the moon

The moon is big so use the 25mm. The Barlow will have a multiplication marking on it 2x 3x etc. A 2x Barlow lens will effectively double the power of the eyepiece you are using. Do not use the erecting eyepiece for anything other than land viewing. Erecting eyepieces generally reduce the amount of light reaching your eye and thus reduce brightness of the faint objects in the sky.
So basically just place the 25 mm lens in the focuser and point the scope at the moon and you will be amazed at what you can see and how bright it is.

SOURCE: loose dirt on mirror Meade Lx6

Nope, the dust is on the webcam sensor. The telescope mirror is too far away to influence the image. Most modified cameras have no window to keep dust off the sensor's cover. A camera lens cleaning brush works fine. Also, some cameras have 'hot pixels' that are defects in the sensor, and are permanent.

Contact a regular DEALER for this scope and see if they have one. You may just have to look in a well stocked hardware store for something you can use to mount the scope on the tripod.

Testimonial: "Thanks."

When the lens is inserted there is no light and no focus.

This is a small refractor style telescope.

Put the diagonal into the focuser at the back of the scope, and then put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the diagonal. Practice focusing on a distant object during the day time. TAKE the lens cap off !

Read my tips on my profile page. By the way-- THIS is a diagonal--

How to align pointer? which lens tu use? no zoom?

During the daytime point the scope at a distant object like the top of a telephone pole. Without moving the scope adjust the small finder scope crosshairs so they point to the same spot.

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the diagonal. This is your lowest magnification. Practice focusing on a distant object using this low power eyepiece.

How do set up a konus 800 60mm f/13 refractor telescope and operate it

This is a small refractor style telescope on a photo style tripod.

Put the small finder scope on the top of the main tube, put the diagonal into the back of the scope. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the diagonal.

Take the scope outside during the day time and line up the finder scope with the main tube on a distant object-- practice focusing on the same object.

I would lke to get a higher spec lens for my konusmotor 500. What is the highest lens I can get for it and where is a good place to buy it?

Highest theoretical power is 250x but it has to be a perfect night. konus does have very good optics but at f/4.3 it is a low power, wide field scope. So 500mm fl / 2mm eyepiece = 250x. Eyepieces of that high power have eye relief issues as well as blurry edges unless you want to pay $500 or more
Here is a good eyepiece which will give you 96x and 20mm eye relief. I own the 12.5mm version
http://agenaastro.com/agena-5-2mm-ed-eyepiece.html
BTW I rarely go over 150x with my big scope, the higher the power also equals seeing more atmosphere

How I know the red dot is working ok, is

This is a 60mm telescope not much bigger than a 10x50mm pair of binoculars. Your maximum magnification will be about 100 power. Yes I know they said 200-300 power on the box. This was a lie.

Do not use the 2x barlow. Probably be just too much magnification. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the telescope; then try the same eyepiece with the 1.5x barlow. That is probably all the magnification the scope can handle.

Stars are always pinpoint light sources, no matter how large the telescope. They are hundreds or thousands of light years away.

The "red dot" should be pointed at exactly the same spot as what is in the eyepiece. Center a bright star in the eyepiece, then without moving the telescope... center the red dot on the star. Now you can use the red dot to POINT the telescope exactly to a sky object.
