No need to remove any panels. the bottom end attaches to a lever on the right hand side of the transmission. Can be reached from under the tractor. There was an update on the control cable which changes the angle of the bracket on the top end so the wire does not bend and break so quickly. check with you dealer to see if yours qualifies.

Tractor will start and run, but only if you're holding the key like you're starting it. If you let go the tractor dies???? 2006 Kubota L2800 Hydrostatic 4x4

look for a wire/switch problem from the run side of the starter switch to the ignition control module
what you have is this
when it is in start the power is to the starter as well as to the ignition module
when the engine stats and you let go of the switch, power to the starter is cut but a new circuit to the ignition module is engaged to give power for ignition
by letting go of the switch ,the circuit for power to the ignition module is broken
find that break in the circuit ( wire or ignition switch) and the problem will be solved

How do you replace PTO switch on a 2654 husqavarna mower?

You will have to reach under the dash and remove the wiring connector from the PTO switch. There are tabs on the underside holding the switch in place ( see photo ). take a screw driver and push the tabs on one side at the same time gently pull on the switch from the top side.

Where's dip stock for hydroloc fluid on a Kubota L3400 4x4 tractor

As a rule the Kubota L2800/L3400 do not have a dip stick for the hydraulic fluid. To check the fluid level, find the small round site glass that is on the transmission, left side, just in front of the clutch pedal. This sight glass has a level line on it. If the level is low the fluid might not show in the sight glass. If the level is below the line add fluid. The fill port for the Hydraulic fluid is on the back of the tractor just below the level of the seat.

Why will my zd21 kubota zero turn mower pto clutch not engage

First check fuse. Then with a volt meter check for voltage on the 2 wires going to the PTO clutch with the key and pto switches on but motor off ( you may need to trigger the seat switch as well). IF voltage is detected the clutch its self is suspect. If no voltage then check for power into the PTO switch and then out of. If power in but not out then the PTO switch is suspect. And keep chasing voltage down the line until you find the failure. Voltage travels from key switch thru fuse, PTO, seat, and reverse switches to the clutch

Hi, I have a 2008 Kubota L3400 HST and recently developed a problem with the PTO not turning off when when the PTO lever is shifted to disengage. I have disconnected the two small wires to the PTO lever...

I just fixed the same problem. The cable running from the PTO shift goes into the transmission case under your seat. You can follow the cable down and where you see a rubberboot, spray DW40 on it liberally. Work the PTO shift back and forth and wait five minutes. Do again if necessary. The spring load under the seat seems to seize up and the cable doesn't slide properly. This is one of the reasons for this problem that is easily fixed. The other a broken snap ring internally that is a much bigger problem.
Good Luck

Goto engase pto it kills motor

As a safety feature, tractor PTO's will kill the tractor if the PTO is on and you are not on the seat. Or rather, it thinks you are not on the seat.

Under the seat is a switch that is active when you sit on the seat. To test it, try disconnecting the plug that is on it. Does the PTO work now? Replace the switch. If not, take a piece of wire and connect the 2 terminals on the tractor (not the seat) side of the connector and try it again. Does the PTO work now? Yes? replace switch. No? There is yet another safety feature not working. Check your owners manual to find out what safety switches turn off the tractor when the PTO is on, and verify that they are working correctly.

Note that while defeating one of these switches will allow the tractor to run, these features were developed after many funerals and re-attaching many body parts. Do not defeat them. Keep them working.
