Try to perform full restart, press power button down until computer shuts down (+5 seconds). Then try to restart it. If repair function is offered, do not select that, select "start up windows normally".
1 Press the Novo button to start the Lenovo OneKey Recovery system. 2 Click System Recovery. The computer will restart to the recovery environment. 3 Follow the on-screen instructions to restore the system partition to its original status or to a previously created back-up point.
If Windows cannot be started, follow the steps below to start the Lenovo OneKey Recovery system: 1 Shut down the computer. 2 Press the Novo button. From Novo Button Menu, select System recovery and press Enter.
hit the f8 key several times while it is rebooting and go the screen that allows you boot to windows, boot to last know good confifguration, boot to safe mode, etc... screen. On this menu you will find a selection that will allow you to stop the blue screen on the error. The error will tell you what the problem is. However from previous experience I can tell you that more than likely you will have to reinstall Windows. If you haven't backed up your data and need to recover it, It might be a good idea to setup the disk as an external drive or secondary (slave) drive on another computer, copy your data to a flashdisk or other backup device, reinstall your hdd as master/primary drive, boot to cd and reinstall windows. Have fun, let me know how it goes.
How old is the laptop? You may have suffered one of two things? First of all, if the hard drive will not boot back up, even after using the recovery discs, then that would explain it powering off. I have seen this happen on old desktop hard drives.
Next, try to get the transformer or adapter tested. It may not be putting out enough amperage to run the laptop.
