My Latitude D630, Model # PP18L. I turned it on and it went off. Can't get it to turn back on. I've had it plugged in since 1:30 PM Pacific Time and it's 1:30 AM. How long does it take to charge?

It should only need 6-8 hrs to charge, and in any event should work when connected to the mains. It could be, from this info, that the charger has failed. You will need to take the whole setup to a repair tech. or find an alternative charger to try out.

My Dell Latitude D630 won't power

Without a doubt it is the video processor. I'm almost certain it is the Nvidia equipped model. I've repaired three of these successfully. I've seen offers to repair them for $125. I'm not in business to do them, we have about 25 of them at work and I fix them as a value-added service to my company, which they appreciate. Repairing them is not for the average person to attempt. Many things can get broken taking them apart. Lots of screws of varying length that all must go back where the come from. I'm very familiar with component level repair (not board swapping, fixing what's wrong on them) having done this professionally since 1978. They run Windows 7 very well if updated with BIOS version A17, have a good hard drive and 4 gigs of RAM (3.5 gb available under 32 bit ver, the full 4 gig under the 64 bit version. Someone wrote that they don't run Windows 7 and I'm afraid that person is FOS. Probably worth fixing IF the case isn't cracked, battery is good, and screen isn't damaged. It's hard to chunk something that needs one hour of work to restore, most often without parts!
Also sounds like your battery could be just about dead.

Sir, i have dell dell latitude D630 model name pp18L I want VGA software please help me sir i can't play games like GTA etc.

Here is the link to find the driver. Bottom half of page is video drivers. You need to know your operating system and the video chip you have
http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?s=dhs&c=us&l=en&cs=19&k=d630+driver&cat=sup&ref=ac

To find chip ID, right click on My Computer, choose Properties, Go to device manager. Find Display Adaptors and click the plus sign. Here you can see which chip you have. Download the appropriate one from Dell, Run the downloaded file.

Disconnect the battery, unplug it, then open it up. There should be a small round battery called the CMOS battery somewhere in there. Pull that out. Then plug your computer in and boot it up without the CMOS battery. It should say password disabled. Turn it off, disconnect it, put it back together, and you're good to go.
