What does f1 mean on a whirlpool cabrio dryer

This is a communications error between your control board and the rest of the machine. You'll need to unplug the dryer remove the front panel and inspect the control board for loose wires, torn wires, burnt spots on board. If there is nothing wrong with the connections or wires you'll need to replace the main control board.

Everything is working on the Dryer but it has a very strong. "Burnt" smell inside and it gets on the laundry. What is causing it to have that Burnt smell?

burnt smell like rubber or like lint burning whens the last time you delinted your dryer? A dryer should actually be delinted at least once a year maximum I personally delint mine every 4 months with a family of 4 lint doesn't just go on you lint screen and away it goes unscrew that bottom panel and with a flashlight have a look inside on the other hand if it is a burnt wire smell you probably want to look near the through the same spot but on the left side back where the heater is located usually one of the wires connecting to the heater ends up singeing or a thermistor blows out you will get this smell if you happen to have the model number i could send you a schematic of how it comes apart if you have any further questions message me back and please remember when our chat has concluded to rank how this opinion has helped it how im able to help others in similar situations in the future Thanks again Rick

I was told i need anew drum and felt gasket dryers 3 years old it is clonking so i dont dought it could it faulty

with out looking at it it sounds like the rollers have gone bad i believe you gain access from the rear of the unit to look at the rollers but you can remove the to by removing the 2 screws on the rear of the top and then pushing back and up on it turn the dryer on and look and see how round the tub is.if tub looks fine then stop dryer and turn drum in the direction it turned when it was running until you see where the factory welded it and see if the weld is broke or has a high spot.if these look good then the rollers are bad and you will have to remove the front by taking control panel off and the screws holding the front take note on how it comes apart because you have to put it back together.

It could be your washer leaking oil into the tub
Check paddles inside dryer drum for looseness if something oily got under
the paddles it will leak onto the clothes
Check felt strip at the back (and front) of the tub if it came off it could transmit junk into your dryer
if this was helpful please rate me.

Ignitor Burning Out

Good day,
I assume it heats and cycles properly when it works. If so,
The sensor on the left side of the heat tube may be holding the igniter on too long. Only true test is a new sensor.

Something to keep in mind. You cannot touch the silicon carbide section of the igniter at all. If you do, the oil from your skin will cause a hot spot on that area, and destroy the igniter.

Loud banging noise in dryer (maytag). Have taken dryer apart. don't know how to tell if drum rollers, belt, and blower wheel are okay. Don't know what else could be causing loud noice.

the most common culprit of banging is an uneven spot on one of rollers. It may not be really noticable, but a slight flat spot can form on them.

The gas dryer will not heat?

On that dryer, take out the door screws and the other screws on the other side. Push down on it and the 2 goalpost sides on the top should come out. I would imagine it's the ignightor. Usually a thermal fuse will stop the thing from spinning also. At least once you get it apart you could see if it glows and turns the gas on. Good luck

Dryer smelled of burning plastic, smoked stopped turning on

check the power cord itself, if you see on the back side of the cord a burnt or blackened spot then the cord is the issue

Black soot in dryer

There are several possible causes: a)  exhaust vent is restricted forcing the lint to enter the dryer shell and overheat and/or be picked up by the blower -- you seem to have inspected this b)  check the hot gas inlet to the drum.. on some dryers, lint buildup can occur in tight spots and it will overheat and char c)  ducting is not intact or leaks allowing lint to leak into the dryer shell -- this will occur over time, and all dryers should be taken apart and cleaned out on a regular basis... also, all ducting should be inspected and sealed as needed d)  verify that the inlet vents to the dryer shell are not blocked and allow adequate air flow to the burner assembly -- natural gas normally won't smoke due to incomplete combustion, but..  likewise, verify the room has adequate ventilation particularly if the utility room or closet is very small,  e)  check the drum drive belt, as it gets old, it will release dust and minute pieces which will be picked up by the blower -- replace if needed... f)  verify that the seals on the drum are still good -- replace as needed g)  as 'washer-tech' advised, do a thorough cleaning and inspection... put it back together with all ducting tight and free flowing
