LG CRT monitor continiously swith on & off, also no display on screen, CPU is fine & also not in power saving mode.

try unplugging the monitor and letting it rest for a couple minutes. If you have another computer please see if the problem is the same when the monitor is hooked up to that one.

Monitor on for a few minutes then blank . if we switch off and on again for one moment display is on then going blank what should i do?

check your monitor settings for power saving modes, perhaps it is just switching into an energy conservation mode (remember that there are settings in control panel, possibly also in the monitor's built in configuration menu, and there may be depending on manufacturer another setting in the cmos settings (usually accessed during power up by pressing the delete key or one of the F keys) Good-Luck

My HP Pavilion 1903 monitor keeps going to sleep every time I turn it on

check in your monitor menu to ensure there is no energy save mode set. press the menu button on your monitor and check the settings. ensure that your pc also does not have an energy save setting set. e.g if the mouse or keyboard are not touched for a specific time e.g. 1 minute then switch off monitor to save power. make sure that such settings are not switched to on in your pc settings. if this is a new monitor and this was not a problem with your old monitor then suspect the monitor settings if the monitor and pc are both new. then suspect both settings. if possible test the monitor on a second pc or laptop to see if problem persists.

My monitor keeps going on Analog power saving mode

mcdevito75 here, The on/off switch on the monitor may be worn, Once you get your monitor on again, I'd leave it on, it"ll shut off after approx. 10--20 minutes after your computer is off, with no extra electricity used even though the on/off switch is on, you still have no picture and thus no electricity being used.

I am owner of HANNS.G HW191D 19" Monitor turn it self off completely out off power and dont want to boot up. But after about 20 - 40 minutes turn it self on for about 10 minutes. this happened all day any...

badcompanyx, Your unit is in need of warranty work or servicing by a qualified electronics technician. Possible bad "intermittant solder connection on "switch-mode-power-supply"/"CCFL inverter supply" and or BAD "faulty" electrolytic filter capacitors that need replacing. 12fixlouie

My monitor has no picture and a flashing orange light

koakes898, Here is a clue!! Have you seen the new style Curlie-Q compact fluorescent (CFL) screw-in light bulbs at the nearby Home Depot or Menards. Can you imagine them having long, thin, straight tubes and providing WHITE LIGHT on the opposite side of the screen of your FPD2275 display. If the "switch-mode-power-supply" detects a Fault in the cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamp" "electronic ballast" circuit Called an "INVERTER" it goes into SHUTDOWN mode to try and save itself from self destruction. Visit YOUTUBE and search out video clips (8-12 min run time) on "LCD disassembly" FYI !! I'll bet your monitor is in the top 2 types of power supply failure modes. Then you will Probably be able to decide on what to do with your monitor. Trade in for new, or BUY new and repair old to keep as spare. or try to do cash+ old swapout with Gateway for a same model-Refurbished. You do have a few options. Last option is attempt repair on your own if handy with soldering pencil and solderwick and solder. Lots of stuf on the web, you just need to do the search!! I'mlouie12fix on fixya. or lmistyrel @aol .com Hope this was helpful in some way. please rate this on fixya if this was of some use to you. Bye for now.

Power saving mode

Prevent the laptop/desktop monitor from going to power saving mode:

  • Click on Start | Control Panel | Power Options.
  • In the Power Option properties window, click on the Power Schemes Tab
  • Set the Turn off Monitor/ Turn off Hard Disks option when on Power (and also Battery for laptop users) to Never.
  • Now click on the Save as... button and assign a name to this power scheme... Let us call it 'Presentation' and then click on OK.
  • That's it congrats!

Camera goes to sleep too there a way to adjust?

To save battery power, the camera automatically goes into sleep mode and the monitor turns off if there is no operation after 3 minutes when the camera is turned on (when the lens cover is open and the monitor is on). No picture is taken even if the shutter button is fully pressed in this mode. Operate the zoom button or other buttons to restore the camera from sleep mode before taking a picture. If the camera is left on for 15 minutes, it automatically turns off (the lens cover closes and the monitor turns off). Press POWER to turn the camera on.

Computer monitor comes on for 1 seconds, flashes "analog power save mode" and then goes black.

Most monitors will say "Power save mode" when they can tell through residual voltage that the signal lead is plugged into a machine, but there's no picture being transmitted. The four states of a monitor are:

    * Off entirely.
    * Switched on, plugged into a computer but no video signal being received - usually displays "analog power save mode" or "digital power save mode" for a few seconds, then blanks. Comes back to life the moment a video signal is received. This state is the default in full power saving mode.
    * Switched on, not plugged into a computer. Some monitors don't display anything, some go into power saving mode, some fly "CHECK SIGNAL CABLE" or a similar message around the screen. Picture is restored when the signal cable is plugged back into the computer
    * On fully, receiving an image, and displaying.

    Hope this helps.
