Is this a consumer set Passcode or PUK Code?
Consumer set code Hold Power Button and Volume Up Button from a powered down state. When you see Recovery Console, choose Hard reset or Factory Reset. You will be offered the option to Back Up.
PUK Code? Only from your Cellular provider. They have locked it with an encrypted key as they own the phone until paid off.
