How can I find a manual for amway vacuum cms 1000?
Marilyn you should be able to find an Amway distributor in the white pages listed as "Amway dealers. They may be able to give you a number to call. also you can google "Amway" and look for the "help or contact us" box and click it for a response, leave a descriptive request with model number etc, usually on the back of the unit. Most vacuums are not too difficult. Just make sure it is plugged in to a working outlet, and the bag is in place and not full. Check any filters for excess dust clogging them. Look for stoppages; from the beater bar there is a hole behind the roller where all the dirt goes, if it is clogged use tweezers or tongs to pull it out. If the beater bar spins easily then the belt broke or slipped off the pully; open the bottom plate, sometimes a lever or a couple screws, replace the belt and close it back up. Turn it on and seeif it works. If yes, your done, if no, turn it off, then take the hose where it separates from the main body, and see if there is a clog, if so pull it out. squeeze the hose all the way to where it goes into the vacuum body, there should be a way to take it loose; look into the hose, and where it was attached for a clog, if a clog pull it out. Take off the bag/filter/canister and see if there is a problem there. turn it on, if it is still not working, take it to a vacuum repair shop. If they push you to buy another one, get a second opinion. If you got it running, go to the computer or a hallmark store and get yourselfa "YOU DID IT" card and celebrate with ice cream. Finish vacuuming next week!
