That is because the thread guide is underneath the needle clamp, and BOTH must be removed and replaced together as a unit. In addition, the wire is held by a tiny screw in the back of the shaft. That screw also serves as the stop for the end of the needle. Take a look at the shaft right above the needle, and you'll see what looks like a grey bar--that is the screw. It's difficult to access on the back, but must be loosened first -- JUST ONE OR TWO TURNS -- to remove the wire. Then, take off the needle clamp and wire as one unit.

Insert the replacement guide inside and at the back of the needle clamp, with the hook part sticking out of the clamp. You'll see that there's an indentation in the clamp to hold it. Insert the guide and clamp as one unit, then hook the wire around the screw and tighten.

FYI - If you accidentally remove the screw (which only turns about three or four times) and drop it as I did, you don't really need it to hold the wire guide, BUT you still need a needle stop. I just inserted a toothpick when I changed needles until I could get a replacement.

The above sounds relatively easy, but you'll probably have to do some manipulating, especially the first time, and if you're like me, possibly some cussing -- but it WILL fit.

Thank you. It worked and you were correct about the cussing. :)

My singer futura xl580 will not sew at all shows error 06 in display and no its not upper thread problem

Are threading your machine with the presser foot UP? It is the only time the thread can get between those tension disks, and if it's not there (or if the thread is only on the outer rim) it will trigger the "thread out" sensor.

I am trying to embroidery on my futura ce200 and it starts then stops, giving message thread breakage but thread is not broken

I have this problem when the thread isn't locked into position under the clear plastic guide on top of the machine. You have to hear it click 2 times on the right hand side. You have to pull the tread kinda hard. Hope this helps.

Constant thread breakage. I have a singer futura CE-150 embroider machine. IT is brand new never been used just got out of the box. I can get about 100 stitches before breaks. I am using 100% ployester...

Well it sounds like you're using a decent thread, that can often be the issue. Just wondering if your top thread is too tight? Might be worth fiddling with the tension to see.

Another thought could be look at the trouble shooting guide in your manual as most have one, but my gut instinct would be the tension.

Singer Futura 250E - thread is shredding after 5-6 stitches

no damage to the machine yet
check the thread size you are using as you may have to use a needle with a bigger eye
thread is made by winding the material around and around then using a product to hold the material ends together
as a result thread will not last indefinitely and will break easily
you may have to use only thread from manufacturers that you know make good thread

While sewing on singer quantum futura ce-200 sewing machine, thread bunchedup on underside of fabric and bobbin case flew out more than once.

Mine did this and it seemed impossible to fix. My problem was a tiny bit of thread stuck in the bobbin cover (but it could be anywhere in the thread route). I ran dental floss through the path the thread follows and also in the bobbin cover and poof out came a small piece of thread that all my looking missed. Hope this helps.

Foot pedal and thread guide

Same thing happened to my CE-200. It would only stitch one stitch at a time or else it would run full speed. My husband made an adjustment through a small hole on the back of the pedal and it now works much better. The adjustment hole apparently allows you to set the sensitivity of the electronics inside the pedal. He turned it slightly toward the + direction. It took a couple of small adjustments to get it to work nearly normal again.
