SOURCE: My needle does not pick up the bobbin thread. I

Make sure that you have the needle's flat side facing the rear of the machine, or else it will never grab the thread. Also, make sure you hold the top thread in your left hand until it grabs the thread and you pull the bobbin thread up

SOURCE: Needle breaks due to bobbin case slippage. How do

You CAN fix timing. Of course, it's up to you, but this is how to do it (I have over 30 years experience)...1. Remove the bobbin case. 2. Unthread your machine and put a fresh needle all the way up a's far a's it will go into the needle clamp, flat side flush against the needle bar. Tighten screw. 3. Set your machine on straight stitch, length at 6, and position needle at Center. 4. Remove the shuttle race ring and turn the handwheel a tad over 1/16". Observe the position of the point of the hook. It should be directly 1/16" behind the needle and pass a tad above the needle's eye. Put a drop of sewing machine oil (NEVER use cooking or bath oil! So many have ruined machines tinkering with improper oil!) on hook point CAREFULLY because that point is quite sharp. Use lint brush and gently sweep out any threads that may have broken off and got stuck in that area of machine.

The automatic threader isn't working. the bobbin isn't sewing correctly?

make sure the bobbin is turned counter clock wise, also try changing the bobbin, also try a new needle. you may have to have the automatic needle threader checked to see why it's not working

Search the internet for:

Make + Model + the word "Manual"

Remove the thread. Install a brand new needle.

Be sure you are using thread that is compatible with the needle and fabric being sewn.
All About Needles

Raise the presser foot and rethread from the beginning.

Make sure your threading is following the correct thread path and the bobbin is loaded and threaded properly in the bobbin case.

If it continues to malfunction, it may need service.

Embroidery machine won't pick up bobbin thread

try changing the needle--make sure the needle is inserted correctly into the needle holder--
make sure the presser foot is In the up position

rethread the machine using every thread guide

make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly into the bobbin case--counter-clock-wise

if these suggestions don't help then the machine could have a timing problem

My bobbin thread will not attach to top thread so the needle thread sews but nothing will come up from the bottom. WHy

sounds as if your bobbin is in wrong . I believe all bobbins are to be inserted so that it goes counter clock wise. When you place the bobbin in the bobbin casing make sure you check and see if it goes in the opposite direction of the clock. also check your needle it may be in backwards too

I just got a new Singer Simple. I had a problem with the needle thread getting caught in the bobbin shuttle. I disassembled this area, found a random thread, and cleaned it out. I put it all back together...

Do you have the bobbin thread going the right way, according to owners manual some go clock wise some go counter clock wise when you pull the thread after bobbin inserted in bobbin case
