Look at the user manual, without make and model it is very difficult to answer your question.

Refidgerator door wont close

Check to see if something in the refrigerator is too long and hitting the door or in the door shelves hitting the interior shelves. If not then it is probably a hinge issue. Sometimes installing a coule spacers in the hinge pivot can lift the door enough to allow it to close.

Fresh food door will not close/seal

Check to see if one of your door shelves is bigger (sticks out more into the fridge) than the other ones. If it is, theses shelves can cause door closing problems. Try removing the shelf from the door and closing it again. If this shelf is the problem, call subzero at 1800 222 7820 and give them your model and serial number, and they will send you a new standard depth shelf to replace the deeper shelf at no charge, these shelves caused a lot of door closing problems when they came out. Hope this helps!

First take some weight out of the shelves on the door. To much weight in shelves will make door sag.

Are shelving unit safer than floating shelves?

Probably...but it really depends on the way the floating shelves are attached to the wall, how much weight can they carry and how strong is that wall. Some shelving units are very poorly and cheaply made and they can collapse if you put too much weight on them or with time. But I think that there are more chances that a floating shelf will fall, god forbid, that a shelving unit.

Refrigerator door not shutting correctly, not a good seal. could it be the little spring arm at the bottom?

check the gasket around the door, also make sure nothing is hitting on the shelves,if you have to remove some of the food, check the shelves and make sure they are back all the way,i've seen the bottom draws and shelves not in correctly, they stick out farther than they should hitting the door, remove the glass shelves that are on top of the draws and see if the door closes.let me know how you make out

GE side by side freezer shelves falling down

This appears to be a known problem with at least a couple of GE models (It has been happening in our freezer too). There is a GE Service bulletin at https://customernet.geappliances.com/OTIS/fs/home_images/REF01-10.pdf that seems to describe the fix as them sending out new shelves (and maybe someone to install them?)

Whirpool Refrigerator Door Shelves Not Cold Enough

The door bins are the last place you should keep milk. The door shelves are always the warmest part of the fresh food compartment (of any refrigerator). Sorry.
