You should always use add/remove inside of control panel to uninstall programs like office 2003 go there verify you have uninstalled it properly highlight office 2003 click remove. just to be sure its a clean uninstall. Restart the computer. Now that service pack for 2003 will only be useful if a clean copy of office is reinstalled. The service pack goes hand in hand with the office 2003 you need that in order to apply the service pack 2. It murkied the system when you deleted office manually to the recycle bin. Always use add\remove or the unistall feature within the program itself which sometimes can be found in All Programs this is only with some programs but not office 2003.

Yes it is possible to recover the files which have bypassed the Recycle Bin. To recover these files you have to use some data recovery software. I cannot open .docx and xlsx files.

The files extensions you have listed, .docx and .xlsx, are files that have been created using the Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 suite of programs. Specifically .docx is a Microsoft Word document, and .xlsx is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. You will have to have either of the Microsoft Office programs mentioned, or you can also use the Open Office suite of programs. This is a free program that you can download at the following website:

Dear sir in my 4gb pen drive i am having a folder which is named recycler and its comes again and again after deleting also. so how to remove that permanently

The Recycler folder is a hidden system directory Windows XP automatically creates on all local drives.

For example, when you highlight a file on the pen drive in Windows Explorer and press the DEL key on your keyboard, the file is not actually deleted. It is moved to the Recycler folder, so it can get restored using the Recycle bin icon on the desktop. The file is physically deleted when the user calls the "Empty Recycle Bin" option from the recycle bin's context menu, or when the recycle bin gets too full. The default maximum capacity is set to 10% of the volume size.

Normally, the Recycled folder is hidden, you'll notice it only if you configure Windows Explorer to show you hidden files. You cannot get rid of it permanently - if you delete it, it gets recreated automatically, as you noticed yourself. This is intended behavior.
