Question about Speed Queen Washing Machines
The machine stands in a corner of the pantry - tight against the side and back wall; only 270mm front clearance to a corner cupboard and 80mm side clearance to basin cupboards. There is a cupboard above the washing macine against the side wall with a 710mm clearance to the underside of the cupboard. It cannot be slided out because of space constraints in the front; the only way is to lift it up and there is only enough space for a person or two to stand in front of it. The machine was put in the corner before the cupboards were built.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: removing stand from tv
UNSCREW the FOUR (4) screws on the back panel (marked with an "S" next to their recessed holes.
Work with the panel screen-side up (ie on its back - we did it with the LCD on the bed), and just JIGGLE the stand back and forth until the screws drop out. This make take some doing, but using force is a no-no (as the screw mounts are only plastic). Obviously the screws MUST be undone, so just keep unscrewing them while someone else jiggles for you.
Thats it. The plastic cover (from the manual & warranty bag) covers the hole.

Place the tv on its screen flat on a soft surface,
you need to remove all the screws, not just the stand one marked.
Lift the back panel and then you will be able to slide down the stand, when you have removed the back cover you will also see where how your wall mount will fit to the chassis.
Place all the screws back on the back lid.

Check the kitchen drawer next to the fridge for the screws !!
When you get new screws, use lengths 1/2".. any longer and you might hit something inside.
Don't know why this is posted under IS-LCDTV26.. I would pull a screw from my 26" and measure it, but it's most likely different than your 42"

SOURCE: Remove stand
if the screws won't come out, then get a magnet, the small kind that is used in auto mechanics, that's what I use to finish pulling them out, or use a magnetice drill bit, but that's all that is holding the stand on

SOURCE: How to remove the stand
On the the sticker on the back of my SONY kdl-40xbr1, where the model number is, there is the symbol > x 18. That means you need to remove the 18 screws on the back of the tv that have arrows next to them. Most are around the outside but 2 were by the RCA inputs and 2 were under the cover for the computer input.
Once you remove all these screws the back will come off easily. Remove the 4 screws holding the base on, slide it off and refasten on the back with the 18 screws.
