How do I fix my realtek speakers? They play sounds and music but while doing so the sound icon in the taskbar is showing movement from bottom to top with sound increasing as it goes upwards?

Open Device manager and right click on "Realtek HD Audio"
Select 'enable'
Right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select 'Playback devices' ensure that Realtek is checked as the default speaker device
Right click alongside the speaker icon and make sure they are not disabled
Use the 'Test' facility to check the audio
You may have to update the driver as well

In compac presario v3000 laptop sound is not working shows no sound card but all icons of sound in device manager are ok like audio codec, legacy, etc. now what is the problem?

Hello, I've a Compaq NC6000 laptop, and that doesn't show a soundcard either, aswell as the Audio Codecs and Legacy Audio Drivers, it shows a 'SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio'. There's an audio mute switch on the front panel, next to the vol up/down switches on mine. Have you taken a look at the hp support pages for your laptop? If not, try and answer the country question. Has it ever worked? If you've recently reinstalled the OS maybe you need to install the chipset drivers, etc....they're also available to download from the support website. Regards, nicam49

Volume speaker icon not show

The volume speaker Icon wont show usually because you have no sound drivers installed. To confirm this,
1) Go to your control panel and double click on "Sounds and Audio devices"
2) The window that appears sholu show the device volume slider active - which means the driver works fine and is installed. If this is so, click on "place volume icon in task bar".

If not, you need to install the sound drivers for your device.

The volume icon on my taskbar has been deleted from my computer how can I download it again

Missing icon from taskbar
1. If you have uninstall your Audio drivers from your system the volume icon will not show in the taskbar. You have to reinstall the audio drivers to restore the volume icon back to the taskbar

2. If the your volume icon is missing from the taskbar and you did not uninstall the audio drivers, then go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sounds,Speech, and Audio Devices -> Sounds and Audio Devices ->"Place volume icon in the taskbar" box -> Uncheck & check -> Apply & OK and your volume is restore at the taskbar. (Reboot if necessary)

Hope it helps.

ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 audio driver installed but giving no sound.

Go to Start - My Computer, right click on it - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager and in there check that the sound device is correctly identified and loaded (no yellow triangles with ? in them). Then go to Start - Control Panel - Sounds and Audio devices and make sure it's correctly configured and the volume icon option is ticked - untick, save and tick it again to be sure.
