Samsung combi ce1071 flashing SE why

Unless there is grease, moisture, or some other foreign material deposits on your control circuit board, "SE" means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

For the official repair information as per the Samsung bulletin, see http://www.microwavecontrol.com/samsung_se_error.htm

Says SE on the screen and will not work

HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY OVER THE STOVE SAMSUNG MICROWAVE. LOOKED UP ALL THE ANSWER'S AND CHOOSE THE ONE I THOUGHT BEST AND EASIEST. ITS A MOISTURE (STEAM) PROBLEM FROM COOKING ON THE STOVE. TAKE THE TOUCH PAD APART (AFTER UNPLUGGING AND FINDING THE VIDEO ON U-TUBE THAT SHOWS YOU HOW TO DO IT) ITS EASY. I JUST TOOK THE RIBBON (MINE IS GREEN) SEPARATED IT FROM IT SELF AND PLACED A PIECE OF PAPER IN BETWEEN SO THEY DON'T TOUCH. HAD TO DO IT TWICE BECAUSE I DID NOT SEPARATE THEM DOWN FAR ENOUGH. I ALSO BUT A PIECE OF FOAM IN THE PANEL UNDERNEATH THE CIRCUIT BOARD BECAUSE OF THE HUGE GAP FOR STEAM TO GET IN. IT'S LASTED 4 MO, THAN STARTED FLASHING SE OCCASIONALLY BUT BY OPENING THE DOOR AND PUSHING STOP ITS FINE. THIS HAPPENS MAYBE ONCE A WEEK. I THINK IF I GO BACK IN AND RE-SEPARATE THE RIBBON IT WOULD STOP AGAIN BUT IT'S REALLY NOT ENOUGH TO BOTHER ME. GOOD LUCK

Why does screen say SE

SE = Sensor Error, its reported that it could be components bent over, and touching each other on the PCB behind the keypad.
You need to be a fair bit mechanically savvy to attempt a repair, and remember to Unplug it before you do! :-)

Oven shows -se- error, and now doesnt heat

Sorry but the -se- error code from the manual means:
An error of the oven may cause
low performance and problems
in safety. Stop using the oven
immediately.
Call local SAMSUNG service
centre.
Look for the 1-800 number on the back and give them a call.

Only had light on 9 over stove micro. beeped and then -SE- nothing works except internal light

The "-SE-" error code is a code in Samsung and Samsung-made ovens that means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

In some models, you can order a new keypad and replace it. It's an involved job, but it's usually cheap.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved. It's here.

In other models, the membrane is not available separately and you have to order a new plastic control panel frame which comes with a new keypad.

The latter costs more, but it's much easier.

You simply move your circuit board into the new frame. That is a simple do-it-yourself job. See the photo below.

Entire microwave is dead except LED screen which has a message -- E 5 -- Spoke to Samsung who told me to unplug it for 10 minutes - that dosn't do anything. This is a top of the line over the stove...

From the Samsung FAQ:

For all error indications, including the SE or 5E error, try unplugging the microwave from the outlet for at least ten minutes and then plug it back in. If the error persists, the microwave may require service. Please use our ASC Locater (sic) to find your nearest Authorzied Service Center.

It may be a failed sensor.
