The SK222 is meant to be force-fed water either via a) gravity drop from the tank's drop piping or b) a pump in the sump. If you want it in the sump, you just have to make sure the compartment is large enough for its foot-print, and the cabinet tall enough as well. In the sump, some users would feed the skimmer output back into the same compartment, some would feed it to the next, it's up to you.
