Hello! I have a 59017 timer, and this is my problem: When I put the timer in Timer option, If I have all the pins in off, the timer run ok, but if I put one Pin in On mode, The timer run ok but when find...

You don't say if this is new timer installation.
Or if timer was working before and suddenly stopped working.

I also own Woods 59017 timer from Home Depot.

1) New timer installation:
Open following link to access manual and read wiring instructions.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#59017

2) Old timer that stopped working:
If timer dial does not rotate, then the timer is broken, does not have power, or is wired wrong.
If timer stalls when it gets to a pin, then the clock motor has gotten weak, and is overheated and will stop working.

3) Buy new GE 15070 timer from Home Depot for $18
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15070
4) Buy new Woods 59017 at Amazon for $11 plus shipping

Add a comment for more free help.
Also take advantage of fixya expert assistance live.
For a price, expert works with you while you work on timer or any do-it-yourself project.
Fixya is always less expensive than a service call.

If timer has been working fine up until now, you probably need a new tripper pin
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/INTERMATIC-Timer-Tripper-2E054?Pid=search

If lever is worn out, then you need new timer.
You can but a T-101 and swap insides without changing box
The T-103 will also work because it has a 120V clock motor
The T-104 is a 240V timer and will not work
You can buy the replacement timer mechanism and swap out

http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/INTERMATIC-24-Hour-Dial-Timer-Mechanism-2E354?Pid=search
http://www.lowes.com/T-103

When wiring new timer, put wires back the same as old timer
For T101 and T-103 wiring schematic, see following link

THE TIMER DOES NOT WORK , NEED TO REPLACE IT WHERE IS THE PART LIST FOR ML600TW MALIBU ANTS GOT INTO THE DIAL TRY TO CLEAN IT OUT APPENRENTLY BURN UP THE MOTOR IN THE TIMER LIGHTS OR ON ALL THE TIME.WORKS...

I've done a lot of reading and research on Malibu

No replacement parts for Power pack, or schematic >> Malibulights.com shows replacement lights and replacement power packs
Manual for Malibu 600 Watt power pack

SAVE the pins off old power pack and see if they match pins on new power pack ... because you can't find pins on the internet

When the power pack goes bad or you lose the pins, then you buy another power pack

Things to remember:
Match number of lights to power pack wattage
30 - 20 Watt bulbs => 30 x 20 = 600 Watt power pack
Replace bulbs as soon as they burn out, or other bulbs will burn out quickly, and I think it causes power pack to burn out sooner too.

Up-vote if this helped. Thanks for the feedback.

Sounds like you need new ON pin
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/INTERMATIC-Timer-Tripper-2E054?Pid=search

d3c9f33.jpg

The ON-OFF pins rotate around until they come in contact with a lever. The clock motor pushes the pin forward until it clicks the on-off lever. The pins are softer metal than the lever, so the pins wear out.

If you need a new T-103 timer some day > the new timer mechanism can snap right into the old box without changing boxes.

If the dial is not rotating, then you can replace the T100 series 125 Volt clock motor (the T103 clock motor is 125V)

The off tripper pin is not turning off my timer. Why?

Does the manual override work?
If manual override does not work, then the timer is probably worn out.
Buy new T-104 (not T-101 or T-103 because these have 120V motor)
No need to replace box >>> new T-104 mechanism snaps out and fits old box

If override works then the tripper pin could be worn out.

How it works is this: The tripper pin come into contact with a metal lever, and the clock motor pushes the wheel until the tripper clicks the metal lever. The manual override is connected to same metal lever.
Tripper is softer metal and wears out before lever

Timer is falling behind keeping time.

Paragon 7007-00 is 120V 7-day timer with spring-wound carry-over for power outage. Indoor outdoor enclosure. Heavy duty terminals and industrial motor. Sounds like it should last many years. Exposure to heat, moisture, dirt might shorten lifespan.
Solutions:
1) Flip manual override. Does it work crisp? If loose or hard to move, then mechanical lever might be worn or dirty. Take timer free and inspect for dirt, rust, loose parts that might indicate if new timer is needed
2) While timer is free from housing, inspect gears. Are they clean?
-Use blower & after gears are clean, spray with WD 40
Note:WD 40 is extremely flammable, turn off power.
3) Pins on timer wheel make contact with lever ... they push lever on and off - add touch of white grease to metal pins where they come into contact with on-off lever. Inspect pins for rough spots that might catch on lever.
4) Clock motor might be bad
Found links showing Paragon 7000 series motor, so motors must be failing. Motor is attached to back of timer.

Clock does not work to turn pool filter on and off. do I need a new timer mechanism or clock motor

Things to check:

1) Is yellow dial rotating? If not, then clock motor is probably bad. T-100 240V time clock motor sells for $16 at grainger.
Also timer may not be getting 240V so check manual override.

2) If clock motor is turning, but manual override never clicks on-and-off, then pins are probably worn out. Buy pins at grainger

3) Does manual override work? Does it click crisp? If manual override clicks crisp on-and-off, and pool filter turns on-and-off normally, then a) the circuit is getting 240V and b) the timer mechanism is ok ... so clock motor is probably bad.

4) If manual override snaps crisp but pool timer does not turn on, then then circuit breaker could be bad, wire is loose, motor has gone bad
Test for 240 across poles 1 and 2
... or timer contacts are worn out & you need new T-104
See back of mechanical timer

5) If manual override is loose or sluggish, then you need new T104. You can buy a T-104, T-104R, T-104M etc ... and the interior body will snap into old box.

Note: Do not buy T-101 or T-103 as these have 120V motor.

Is WH40 wired correctly?
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/WH40-water-heater-circuit-5.jpg

Is timer working?
If wheel rotates and keeps good time. Then clock motor is good.
Flip manual override on and off >> if manual override is not loose and falling apart then your timer is probably good

ON-OFF Pins:
There are pins attached to yellow dial. Clock motor rotates dial until pins contact mechanical lever. Pins push the lever on-and-off.

Two types of pins, ON and OFF:
You need a brass-colored OFF pin to turn off the circuit. You need a silver-colored ON pin to turn on the circuit.

Order more pins:
Your pins may be worn out, or you don't have any OFF pins.

Hello I have an older T103 Intermatic which controlls outside lights. It is no longer turning on lights and is making an unusual clicking noise. Can it be repaired or should I install a new...

You can replace the clock motor for $16 ...
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/search.shtml?searchQuery=Wh40&op=search&Ntt=Wh40&N=0&sst=subset
... but if the mechanical timer mechanism is worn out, then that is not repairable. To check mechanism, lift timer dial and rotate tripper pins out of way, then click manual override on-and-off >> if override works fine, and lights come on then motor is probably the problem.

If you buy a new T103, the insides might snap right into old timer box without needing to replace the box. To remove insides, depress retainer spring located at top, tip out timer, and lift to remove. New timer has 4 tripper pins. Save old tripper pins, and tape them inside box.
