I have deleted the songs from the Iriver going through my computer. This tells me that there is nothing current on the MP3 player. When i go into Windows media player and try and look under artist etc on the Iriver it also tells me there is nothing on the device. However in the sync part it tells me that i only have a small amount of memory and when i look at the list after disconnecting it from the PC it has all the old music on, even though they have been deleted one by one and the computer is telling me they are not there. please help to get rid of this!!!!! oh does it make a diff if i am using Windows Vista????

Re: Iriver h10 deleted songs aren't deleted!!!
Deleting files? The PC jukebox should work, but if not, use the UMS mode.
Syncing problems. Most likely a PC setup problem. -An incompatible version of WMP10. If your using WMP11 beta, you're screwed. -Windows Updates -Windows Media Format Runtime -DRM Folder(a hidden folder) Control panel>Folders>Show hidden folders. Reinstall the DRM folder. 1. Delete the DRM folder C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersDRM 2. Go to Microsoft http://services.wmdrm.windowsmedia.com/indivSite and click upgrade. DRM will be reinstalled and upgraded.
I've had my player for a long time with no problems. I did have to setup my PC for PlaysForSure *To Go*, but that is not iRiver specific.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

do you have two folders with files (pc & h10), you can go to my computer when plug in see drive open it and delete the files you wish........ you can even delete on the fly (not plugged to pc, straight from h10, but this is only one at a time)
Ok , sorry it took me until now to answer , this is a very simple procedure and I promise it will fix your Iriver! All you have to do is go to main menu , scroll down to settings . Then go to additional settings and at the very bottom select " Database Refresh " . This will fully reboot your irvier H10 , and will flush anything harming your mp3 device .
Hope this helped :)
I had this problem at first too. the only thing you have to do after it's done syncing disconnect it and turn it on. then afterward go through the options till you find database refresh and wait for it to refresh and all your new music should be in it.
iRiver H10 - Missing System Files
You must be connected to the internet for this to work:
1.Download the MTP Firm Updater Utility from iriver website - iriverinc.com/support (Audio Jukebox --> H10)
2. Unzip file, run .exe file, go thorugh wizard (if you are not in mass storage mode, it will give you instructions on the wizard on how to change this)
3. Select Recovery
4. Finish going through wizard
5. disconnect iRiver from computer, and wait for it to update - your player should be good.
If the problem happens again, then uninstall Windows Media Player 11 from your computer and rollback to Windows Media Player 10 (you will NOT lose any songs by doing so).
