Does the printer make noise and nothing is printed ? Any error messages ? Are the print jobs in the print queue (look under Printers and Faxes) ?

You either have a bad printhead or purge resevoir.
Can you take out the head and see if there are any colors coming through?
If not remove the inkand head and try to take a solution of 15-20% ammomia and warm water to soak the head to cover the ink inlets.
Let sit for 45-60 minutes and clean all the moisture from the electrical contacts and re-install.Run a nozzle check by holding the resume button until it flashes twice.
If you are now getting some ink out the head is still clogged reclean with a little stronger solution and warmer water.
If not satisfied with the nozzle check then you need a new head or printer.

My canon i560 printer won't print. I get an error message. The error message says to cancel print and press the resume button. This doesn't work. The yellow light is blinking 5 times then the green...

I got the same problem. I researched and found out it's the print head, you know the thing that moves side to side that releases the ink onto the paper. You either have to replace the print head( which costs around $50.00) or buy a print head cleaning kit because it might have dried ink in it. Hope this works for you( the kit didn't work for me, had to get a new print head)

Printer print nothing or blank

Please these and try to clean the print heads of the cartridges manually:
# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

Canon i560 won't print black text anymore

I have now found the solution elsewhere in the internet: black text only prints on the Canon i560 if selct "normal paper", but not,for instance, if you have "professional photo-paper" selected.

Not Printing

Remove your print head and carefully clean it with a Q-tip and a small amount of hand sanitizer. Let dry and replace. It worked for me. Good luck!
