Did you check the email was from who, if it's written @facebook.com then it from facebook
but if it's facebook@*****.com
Then it's a virus.

ASUS eee701 - Display is flickering in black/white version

If the entire display is flickering, tha'ts typically a hardware issue. Try tilting the screen back and forth, or pressing gently on the area just above the keyboard to see if you can replicate the issue. If it flickers then, you've got a bad cable or a plug.

It's unlikely, but if it is a software issue you can try dowloading new drivers for the video card. Go to the ASUS website, enter in your model information, and see if you can find drivers for the video component.

Hope that helps.

Display Screen Problems

Hello, The simplest way to check this would be to boot your laptop in ms-dos mode or go to bios or any other non-windows related environment. Once you've done that, move the display lid back and forth, apply some preasure on it and check to see if the image flickers. This will be related with a loose connector from the graphics adapter to the lcd pannel. If this doesn't happen, the problem is windows related and maybe requires a clean windows reinstallation. If you need more assistance please post back.
