Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

No sound from internal speakers after using headphones

The headphone jack has a switch in it to disable the speakers when the headphones are plugged in. This switch has stopped functionong. Look in the jack eith a magnafying glass to see if there may be lint or some other object holding the switch open when the headphones are not plugged in. Otherwise it's time to replace the jack.

Sony DAVS300 DVD system

The amp is still alive and well if you can listen via headphones! If inserting a headphone plug used to switch off the speakers, the cause will be the headphone socket not connecting correctly and cutting off the speakers. If you could listen to both headphones and speakers at the same time and there was a switch to switch off the speakers than the switch is faulty.
